Job Description

Social Media, Marketing & Events Manager Common Plate Hospitality | Alexandria, VA We are seeking a creative, strategic, and highly motivated Social Media, Marketing & Events Manager with restaurant industry experience to join our growing hospitality group. This role is the sole marketing function for a multi-concept portfolio of eight restaurant locations across four brands, and requires someone who can operate independently, think strategically, and execute across all channels simultaneously. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with deep fluency in digital marketing, strong brand instincts, and the organizational bandwidth to manage distinct brand voices, content calendars, and campaigns without day-to-day oversight. Key Responsibilities Social Media & Digital Marketing Develop, manage, and execute monthly social media content calendars across all locations and platforms (Instagram, Facebook, potentially TikTok, Google Business), maintaining distinct brand voices for each of the four concepts. Create and schedule photo, video, and written content that aligns with individual brand identities and drives measurable guest engagement. Build and manage influencer outreach programs, including tiered DMV food influencer lists, campaign tracking, and relationship management. Monitor and respond to social media interactions, messages, and reviews across all eight locations in a timely and professional manner. Analyze performance metrics and adjust content strategy accordingly. Coordinate Google Business profile management, including post scheduling and location-specific updates. Marketing & Branding Own brand consistency across all digital and print touchpoints for four distinct restaurant concepts — Augie's Mussel House & Beer Garden (3 locations), Urbano (3 locations), Mason Social, and The Grove Bar & Grill — each with its own voice, aesthetic, and audience. Lead all email marketing efforts end-to-end — including copywriting, graphic design in Canva, segmentation, scheduling, and performance analytics — via Constant Contact. Develop and execute multi-location promotional campaigns tied to cultural moments, sporting events, holidays, and seasonal programming (e.g., FIFA World Cup, Father's Day, grand openings). Build and manage partnerships with local businesses, influencers, community organizations, and media outlets. Draft and manage external communications including vendor outreach, partner pitches, and press-facing copy. Manage and maintain website content across multiple platforms (Wix, Squarespace). Events & Activations Plan, coordinate, and execute in-house and off-site events including grand openings, VIP soft launches, DJ brunches, private parties, seasonal promotions, and community activations. Manage event logistics including vendor coordination, entertainment booking, staffing communication, and post-event follow-up. Develop Eventbrite listings, promotional copy, and guest-facing communications for ticketed events. Partner with GMs and ownership to create guest experiences aligned with each brand's identity and business goals. Track budgets, guest counts, and event ROI across all locations. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in marketing, social media, or events; restaurant or multi-concept hospitality group experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple brands simultaneously with distinct tones, audiences, and content strategies. Expert-level proficiency in Canva; experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus. Hands-on experience with Constant Contact or comparable email marketing platforms, including list management and analytics. Working knowledge of Wix and/or Squarespace for website content management and basic SEO. Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt voice and tone across multiple brand identities. Experience with social media scheduling tools (i.e. Hootsuite), Google Business profiles, and analytics platforms. Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing a full marketing function independently. Flexibility to attend evening, weekend, and holiday events as needed.
