Job Description

An established boutique real estate brokerage based in Charlottesville, Virginia is seeking a full-time Marketing Director to lead the firm's marketing efforts across digital, print, social media, public relations, and property marketing initiatives. The firm serves Central Virginia, including Charlottesville, Albemarle, Orange, the Shenandoah Valley, and surrounding counties, with a focus on farms, estates, historic properties, land, and select residential and commercial work. This role is well-suited for a creative, organized professional who understands the nuances of real estate marketing and can maintain a consistent, sophisticated brand presence while effectively promoting properties and supporting company growth. Our marketing approach prioritizes authenticity, quality, and attention to craft over trends or volume. The candidate who succeeds here will share those values. The Marketing Director will work closely with firm ownership to execute strategic marketing initiatives, manage listing promotion, oversee content creation, coordinate advertising campaigns, and ensure all marketing materials reflect the firm's standards and brand identity. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute marketing strategies for property listings, company branding, and agent promotion. Create marketing materials including brochures, postcards, print advertisements, listing presentations, social media graphics, email campaigns, and digital assets. Design marketing collateral using Adobe InDesign, Canva, or comparable design software. Manage and maintain the firm's social media presence across multiple platforms, with a particular emphasis on Instagram and LinkedIn, ensuring content aligns with the company's brand standards. Utilize social media scheduling and management platforms to plan, organize, and execute content calendars. Write, edit, and distribute long-form content for the firm's website, including a monthly property story series, as well as newsletters, blog posts, and other marketing communications. Strong writing ability is a core requirement of this role. Monitor marketing timelines and ensure deadlines for advertising, publications, events, and listing launches are consistently met. Maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels and materials. Identify opportunities to showcase properties, demonstrate market expertise, and advance the firm's market position throughout Central Virginia. Track marketing performance metrics and recommend improvements based on results. Assist with special projects, events, and other responsibilities as needed. Ideal Candidate Strong understanding of real estate marketing and professional brand standards. Ability to produce clear, substantive long-form content as well as concise social and promotional copy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Strong project management and deadline-tracking abilities. Creative thinker with a keen eye for visual presentation, property marketing, and storytelling. Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with firm leadership. Values quality and consistency over volume and trend-driven content. Flexible and willing to assist with projects beyond traditional marketing responsibilities when needed. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, real estate marketing, public relations, or a related field. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and/or Canva. Experience with social media management and scheduling platforms. Strong graphic design and content creation capabilities. Demonstrated writing ability; samples or a portfolio will be requested. Familiarity with email marketing platforms and digital advertising is preferred. Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimization is a plus. Photography, videography, and/or video editing experience is a plus. Real estate marketing experience is preferred but not required. Schedule Full-time position, approximately 35 to 40 hours per week. This is an in-person role based in Charlottesville, Virginia.
