Job Description

Admissions & Marketing Manager Location:
Bellingham +
Blaine, WA Schedule:
Full-Time, Onsite As the Admissions & Marketing Manager, you will be supporting two of our skilled nursing facilities, Highland Health & Rehabilitation and Stafholt Health & Rehabilitation, driving occupancy growth and strengthening community partnerships. In this role, you'll lead admissions coordination while building strong referral relationships across hospitals and the local healthcare community. You will act as a key liaison for residents and families, ensuring a smooth transition into care, while also supporting outreach efforts to maintain consistent census levels. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys relationship-building, and can balance strategy with execution.
Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, case managers, physicians, and community partners Guide prospective residents and families through tours, services, and the admissions process Manage inquiries from initial contact through admission, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate documentation Stay current on bed availability, service lines, and admission criteria across both facilities Coordinate and lead daily census/bed meetings with internal teams Partner with clinical and operational staff to prepare for new admissions and ensure seamless transitions Represent the facilities at networking events and community outreach activities Track referral activity and trends to inform outreach strategies and drive census growth Support service excellence initiatives using feedback and satisfaction data Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations related to admissions and marketing
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in healthcare admissions, marketing, sales, or customer-facing roles (skilled nursing or LTC preferred) Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills Familiarity with healthcare payors (Medicare, Medicaid, managed care) is a plus Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments Comfort with Microsoft Office and learning new systems
