Job Description

Description Shopbop is looking for a Senior Visual Designer to join our Creative team in New York, NY. This is a rare opportunity to shape the daily digital experience of one of the fastest-growing and most innovative online fashion destinations in the world. In this role, you will manage and innovate site and email visual style guidelines to be leveraged by the team. You are also adept at the build and production of daily web content across shopbop.com — including the homepage, landing pages, promotional campaigns, email, and all other content formats across desktop, mobile, and app. You will report to the Visual Design Manager, and work closely with the Head of Visual Design, serving as a key driver of quality, consistency, and operational excellence across the team. If you are a detail-obsessed, systems-minded designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering pixel-perfect work at scale, this role is for you. Key job responsibilities Own and evolve site, app and email visual style guidelines, ensuring they are clearly documented and consistently applied across the team Lead end-to-end production of web content across all digital touchpoints, including homepage, landing pages, promotional assets, email, and app formats Partner with the Visual Design Manager, Head of Visual Design, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of design assets Establish, document, and continuously improve production processes and workflows to invent and simplify how the team operates Maintain rigorous attention to detail and accuracy across all deliverables, upholding Shopbop's visual standards at every touchpoint Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing competing priorities without sacrificing quality Communicate proactively with key stakeholders to align on timelines, requirements, and design direction Mentor and support designers, raising the visual and production bar across the team About the team The Shopbop Creative Content team develops innovative, customer-obsessed storytelling across fashion, editorial, and commerce experiences. Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of design experience
  • Have an available online portfolio
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suit applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with e-commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns
  • Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices
  • Experience and understanding of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) to help inform design and interaction decisions
  • Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
  • Experience with multimedia content creation
  • Experience in e-commerce or fashion retail design
  • Experience building or optimizing production workflows and design systems
  • A track record of raising the bar on quality and process within a design team
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
