Technical Lead at CultureMill Recruiting Technical Lead at CultureMill Recruiting in El Verano, California Posted in 1 day ago.
Type:
full-time
Job Description:
Our client is a mobile-first consumer social platform where every post is interactive. Users scroll a feed of playable mini-apps and can create or remix new ones by describing what they want. Creation is powered by a coding agent that turns natural-language prompts into working, shareable experiences. Series-A, backed by top-tier consumer and AI investors. ~20 people, ~10 engineers. Founding team has multiple prior exits. The role This is a hands-on technical leadership role, not a management track
  • think of it as the senior engineer leadership and the team lean on to get hard things shipped.
The work is project-shaped:
you pick up a product goal, work out how it should be built, drive it to done, and clear the path for everyone else working on it. You stay in the code, and the way you build sets the AI-native standard for the rest of engineering.
  • Professional-working Mandarin/Chinese is required. You'll work with a Mandarin-speaking engineering team every day. You'll own Owning important, loosely-defined projects from fuzzy goal to shipped outcome
  • deciding how they get built, who does what, where the trade-offs are, and unblocking the people doing the work Standing up the team's internal AI workflows and making AI-native the default way it builds Getting your hands dirty on the hardest problems and carrying them through to resolution Keeping the quality bar high
  • shipping fast without leaving behind something brittle that the next person has to untangle Helping the team scale: what to hire for, how the interviews should run, and where the technical bar belongs What we're looking for Professional-working Mandarin/Chinese A real track record of leading meaningful technical work
  • across more than one engineer or team, and more than one domain
  • with shipped outcomes you can point to.
Title optional:
Staff IC, tech lead, head of engineering, founder, or ex-CTO all fit AI-native enough to set the bar for others
  • AI is your default way of building and deciding, you track the space closely, and you can design the workflows the team adopts. Still hands-on, and recently so
  • you make the architecture calls and stick around to live with them Judgment that holds up across domains: deep in a few, sound enough to steer the rest A high tolerance for ambiguity
  • you turn half-formed goals into something a team can actually execute The ownership and urgency of a startup operator Bonus Production experience applying modern/agentic AI or LLM workflows (applied in production, not just studied) Consumer / social / creator / developer-tools product background Experience hiring, interviewing, and defining the technical bar for engineering roles VC-backed or high-growth startup background Competitive salary + meaningful equity, stage-appropriate for a Series A company with top-tier backers.
Comprehensive health insurance. H1B transfer sponsored.
