WHO WE'RE LOOKING
FORTwo Rivers Marketing is seeking an experienced Marketing Automation Strategist to join our freelance network. We are looking for a partner who can provide consultation and strategic guidance across CRM, marketing automation, email marketing, and customer journey development.

Working independently with support from our internal team, you will assist in the planning and execution of data-driven communication strategies and automation campaigns. This is a contract role where projects will be assigned based on your availability and specific expertise.
SCOPE OF
WORKStrategy & Execution:
Lead or support the end-to-end execution of customer relationship marketing (CRM) strategies, including planning, setup, deployment, and optimization of marketing automation campaigns.
Email & Segmentation:
Support the formulation of email marketing strategies and segmentation frameworks that drive personalization and customer engagement.
Data Management:
Oversee customer data hygiene and segmentation strategies to ensure proper targeting and compliance with privacy regulations.
Platform Management:
Serve as a primary user for marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, or Pardot), ensuring integration with other martech tools.
Analytics & Insights:
Develop advanced KPIs and regular performance reports to identify optimization opportunities and track program effectiveness.
Quality Assurance:
Lead thorough QA testing, including content accuracy, link functionality, and rendering across email clients and platforms.
Collaboration:
Work closely with account and project management teams to help define scope and recommended technical approaches for digital projects.
Process Development:
Contribute to the development of scalable processes, QA protocols, and best practice documentation for lead generation and database management.
Project Management:
Manage your own schedule to ensure project milestones and budgets are met; submit detailed time logs for billing accuracy.

You should be proficient in the following (or similar) tools
Marketing Automation:
Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, PardotCRM & Data:
Salesforce CRM, customer data platforms
Analytics:
Google Analytics, Tableau, Microsoft Excel, Google Search ConsoleEmail Development:
HTML/CSS
for email formatting
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
4+ years of full-time experience in digital marketing, advertising, or public relations, with a minimum of 2 years managing and executing multi-channel digital marketing or automation campaigns.
Certifications:
Progress toward or completion of relevant platform certifications, preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Agency Aptitude:
Understanding of agency processes and the ability to jump into client work quickly.
Location:
While the work is primarily remote, candidates must be available for on-site strategy sessions and collaboration meetings in Des Moines as needed.
Equipment:
Contractor is expected to provide their own computer and primary software licenses.
