Media Library & Creative Asset Management Position Summary:
Establishes and deepens the community's relationship and opinion of Hawai`i Care Choices. Engagement Marketing creates a culture of awareness through educating the public, conducting community education and enrichment programs, building a positive brand image, and contributing to organizational strategic planning initiatives. The Marketing Specialist will support the organization in the creation of promotional and marketing materials reflective of ensuring marketing content, conducting presentations, managing a social media as needed, distributing marketing collateral.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Participate in marketing activities and policies to promote Hawaii Care Choices across all its programs (Hospice, Palliative, Bereavement, Residential Care Home, Volunteer etc). Provide support to the marketing department by preparing reports, handling information requests and performing administrative duties. Gathers information and methods of marketing. Managers media library and creating materials used for proposals, correspondence and presentation reports. Includes flyers/posters, rack cards, social media, video/phone ads, podcasts/TV. Support organizational marketing efforts including media campaigns, promotions and projects. Arrange and coordinate special events, projects, contacts and mailings including but not limited to, Celebration of Life, Season of Light & others as identified. Detailed coordination of complex projects involving many people, facilities, or suppliers. Multitask varying priorities in a fast-paced environment. Provides excellent and accurate communication both oral and written. Organizes, files, types and collates records related to the administrative functions of the marketing department. Supports the marketing department in daily office operations.
Skill & Knowledge Requirements:
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in cooperation with others. Possesses excellent communication skills both oral and written. Excellent writing capabilities. Highly organized and the ability to problem solve efficiently. Time Management and excellent organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast- paced environment. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to use sound judgment in decision making and problem solve by utilizing resource material and communication with others. Knowledge of the English rules of grammar, correct telephone etiquette and general office procedures. Ability to set priorities, research, problem solve and make independent decisions with minimal supervision by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions within the scope of the job. Good working knowledge of the principles of departmental and organizational policies, procedures and operations. Demonstrates commitment to quality and attention to detail. Understands and practices strict confidentiality as well as professional boundaries in all aspects of client, staff and agency information. Competent working knowledge of MS Office and Windows based computer systems.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing and/or direct experience working in event planning or related field preferred. Hospitality, marketing, advertising, or business management experience are preferred. Valid Driver's License. Operates phone system, computer hardware, calculator, printer, facsimile, copiers and other standard office equipment. Frequent use of personal motor vehicle to run errands as directed.
Hours:
Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a half-hour lunch break. Duties may require after-hour work, including weekends as needed.

Pay Range:
$26.00 - $28.00/ hourly. •This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
