About the role Develops, coordinates and executes results-based marketing programs, strategies and campaigns for the Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB) and affiliated companies. Handles a high volume of marketing projects in a fast-paced, creative environment. Communicates the IFB brand and value proposition. Responsible for deciding best channel(s) for marketing (e.g., advertising, web, search, social media, email, direct mail, events). How does this role make an impact?
  • Plans and develops results-based marketing strategies, campaigns, and promotional materials to meet client specifications, deadlines and budgets. Helps clients plan, develop, and implement marketing strategies and campaigns for products, services, programs and events.
  • Acts as project manager for development, copywriting, and communicating client needs to Brand and Creative Services, production, timelines, updates and approvals.
  • Writes, proofreads and edits copy for various marketing materials.
  • Assists in developing strategies for using social media in marketing campaigns. Develops design and copy for assigned social networks.
  • Monitors results via business plan assessment and implements changes to plans to drive desired results.
  • Identifies new/emerging channels and develops integrated strategies, plans and programs to leverage these opportunities.
  • Builds positive relationships with staff, clients and media representatives.
  • Facilitates multiple regional ad groups. Provides marketing ideas, gathers media proposals, and coordinates budgets.
  • Analyzes media needs, negotiates with media outlets, and places media buys on traditional and digital platforms.
  • Works special events such as conferences, fairs, farm shows and others.
  • Exercises professional leadership by keeping abreast of current trends, developments, technology, and opportunities within field of responsibility.
Do you have what we're looking for? Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training. Normal office environment. Extensive computer work. Periodic travel throughout the year. Will work in some outside settings such as fairs and festivals. Assignments may include working in typical Illinois temperature extremes and/or working around farm animals inside confinement buildings and outside. Regular lifting and/or moving equipment and displays weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Base Pay Range:
$74,400
  • 102,300 The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired.
Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.
Incentive Pay:
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan. Why work with us?
