Job Description

Job Purpose / Objective The Marketing Specialist plays a key role in advancing ShareBaby's mission by increasing visibility, engagement, and support through strategic marketing efforts. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing all paid advertising initiatives while supporting integrated marketing campaigns and fundraising events. The Marketing Specialist also oversees ShareBaby's social media presence, ensuring consistent, mission-aligned messaging across platforms. Working closely with the Communications & Marketing Manager and Development Manager, this role blends hands-on execution with strategic collaboration to help grow brand awareness, mobilize supporters, and drive impact for children and families in our community. Essential Functions & Primary Duties Develop, implement, and manage ShareBaby's paid advertising strategy across digital platforms (e.g., social, search, display, and other relevant channels). Create and execute advertising plans aligned with organizational goals, campaigns, and fundraising priorities. Coordinate with graphic designers and other creative partners to develop compelling ad creative and messaging. Monitor, analyze, and optimize paid campaigns to maximize reach, engagement, and return on investment. Manage advertising budgets, timelines, and performance reporting. Assist the Communications & Marketing Manager with the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including in-kind drives, fundraising events, and education/awareness initiatives. Support campaign timelines, asset development, and cross-channel coordination to ensure consistency and impact. Oversee ShareBaby's social media strategy and day-to-day execution across platforms. Manage the organization's social media contract, serving as the primary point of contact for external vendors or consultants. Review, schedule, and approve social media content to ensure accuracy, brand alignment, and mission-centered storytelling. Track social media performance and provide insights and recommendations to improve engagement and reach. Other related duties as assigned by the Communications & Marketing Manager or Executive Director. Qualifications Required Passion for the vision, mission, and values of ShareBaby Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience 2-4 years of experience in marketing, digital advertising, or communications, preferably within a nonprofit, agency, or mission-driven organization Superior interpersonal and written communication skills Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Preferred experience managing or collaborating with external vendors, contractors, or consultants Preferred experience planning, executing, and optimizing paid advertising campaigns across digital platforms (e.g., social media, search, or display) Preferred knowledge of marketing and analytics tools such as Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, or similar platforms
