Job Description

Description Overview The Marketing Automation Manager is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing automated marketing programs that drive customer engagement, lead generation, conversion, and retention. This role oversees the end‑to‑end execution of automated campaigns, manages the marketing tech stack, partners with cross‑functional teams, and ensures that all programs are executed with precision, alignment, and measurable ROI. Key Responsibilities + Own the strategy, development, and execution of multi‑channel marketing automation campaigns (email, SMS, in‑app messaging, nurture flows, lead scoring, etc.). + Build and manage workflows, segmentation strategies, and triggered lifecycle campaigns using tools such as HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua, Klaviyo, or similar platforms. + Partner with marketing, sales, and product teams to translate business goals into automated programs that improve funnel performance and pipeline velocity. + Manage and continuously optimize lead scoring models, routing logic, and database hygiene initiatives. + Oversee A/B testing strategies and performance analysis to improve open rates, CTR, conversions, and overall customer engagement. + Ensure compliance with email and data regulations (CAN‑SPAM, GDPR, CASL, CCPA). + Monitor, report, and forecast performance metrics (MQLs, conversion rates, attribution, lifecycle stage movement). + Serve as the internal SME on marketing automation tools and best practices. + Collaborate with RevOps/SalesOps to align automation programs with CRM workflows and data governance. + Maintain a clean, scalable, and organized marketing automation infrastructure. Requirements Required Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. + 3-7 years of hands‑on experience managing marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, Eloqua, Pardot, etc.). + Demonstrated experience designing and optimizing automated nurture programs and lifecycle flows. + Strong understanding of CRM systems (Salesforce, Dynamics 365, HubSpot CRM). + Experience with
HTML/CSS
for email templates (bonus but not required). + Solid analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights. + Familiarity with data segmentation, lead scoring, and attribution models. + Knowledge of compliance laws governing email and consumer data. + Experience working cross‑functionally with sales, product, and operations teams.
