Job Description

Intern, AI-agent Implementation for Business Operations This is a temporary, full-time, in-person role compensated at $2k / month, with potential transition to long-term employment if both the company and the intern do well. Company Overview iOrganBio is building the technology and industrial base needed to master human cells management in-vitro, and ultimately realize the promise of cell-based regenerative medicine available to everyone, for every condition. We are a cutting-edge seed-stage biotechnology company building an AI-agentic deep tech platform to provide an infinite supply of unique functional tissues to enable transformative therapeutic solutions — at population scale. The platform seamlessly integrates software, AI, sequencing, and robotic solutions to listen to cells and adjust key parameters to guide stem cell differentiation. With a lean team of dedicated scientists and engineers,we are seeking an intern to support the CEO and COO to automate routine, time consuming, and episodic tasks. Position Overview The Intern, AI-Agent Implementation for Business Operations will support iOB's growth by designing, deploying, and iterating on AI-driven agents that automate and augment core business workflows. Working closely with the COO, CBO, and technical team, the intern will help identify high-leverage operational bottlenecks and implement AI-powered solutions to improve efficiency across business development, partnerships, and internal operations. Key responsibilities will include mapping business processes, developing AI-agent workflows (e.g., for outreach, CRM management, research synthesis, and reporting), and integrating these agents into the company's day-to-day operations. The intern will experiment with prompt engineering, tool integration, and lightweight automation frameworks to build systems that reduce manual work and improve decision-making. This role will also involve evaluating the performance of deployed agents, refining them based on real-world usage, and contributing to a broader strategy around how iOB leverages AI to scale its commercial and operational capabilities. This is a hands-on, technical-leaning internship designed for someone interested in applying AI in real business contexts. The role may lead to a full-time position based on performance, company needs, and mutual fit. Key Responsibilities AI-Agent Development & Workflow Automation Design and implement AI agents to support business operations, including lead generation, outreach drafting, meeting preparation, and follow-ups. Translate existing manual workflows (e.g., CRM updates, market research, reporting) into automated or semi-automated AI-driven systems. Develop and refine prompts, tool usage, and memory structures for reliable agent performance. Integrate AI agents with existing tools (e.g., CRM, Google Workspace, internal databases). Continuously test, evaluate, and improve agent outputs for accuracy, usefulness, and efficiency. Business Operations Enablement Support the CEO, COO, and CBO by building systems that enhance business development processes rather than executing them manually. Automate research and synthesis of potential customers, partners, and market segments. Build internal tools or dashboards that track pipeline activity, outreach performance, and operational KPIs. Assist in creating reusable workflows and templates that standardize and scale business processes. Data, Insights & Iteration Monitor performance of AI-driven workflows and identify failure modes or inefficiencies. Analyze outputs from AI systems to improve targeting, messaging, and prioritization. Contribute to the development of internal best practices for AI-agent deployment in a startup environment. Document systems, workflows, and learnings to enable team-wide adoption. Strategic Projects Identify new opportunities where AI agents can meaningfully improve speed or quality of execution across the company. Collaborate with technical and commercial team members to align AI systems with company goals. Stay up to date on emerging tools, frameworks, and techniques in applied AI and automation.
