JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Marketing Specialist interfaces with hospitals, skilled nursing homes, board and care homes and outpatient discharge planning services, and physician offices. Provides and acts as a community resource and public relations representative in facilitating safe quality healthcare in our communities. The Lead Marketing Specialist is expected to generate appropriate patient referrals/ admissions by establishing and maintaining professional relationships with all referral sources.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Generate business by creating new and maintaining existing relationships with physicians and other medical professionals, community and senior organizations, hospitals, appropriate special interest groups, discharge planners, nursing home professionals, assisted living facilities, and other potential referral sources. 2. Contacts prepare and conduct sales and educational presentations for physicians, businesses and local community groups regarding home care services and benefits. 3. Monitors allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations. 4. Continuously conducts market assessments and develops a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary volume projections. 5. Exceed client and internal expectations by providing daily communication and creative solutions to problems and bringing a positive attitude. 6. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources. 7. Documents all physician office visits, referral source visits, follow up, phone calls and gifts. A minimum of 30 documented quality interactions per week. 8. Ensures all communications, messaging and branding is aligned with the Harmony Hospice culture. 9. Builds and monitors community, customer, and payer and patient perceptions of Harmony Hospice as a high-quality provider of services. 10. Strategic planning includes identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs. 11. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of Hospice markets including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor's market positioning. 12. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and shares information with appropriate organization personnel. 13. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing community resources should services not be provided by Cornerstone Healthcare, Inc. 14. Monitors and reports cost effectiveness of marketing efforts. 15. Assist the Executive Director with Marketing Accountability Meetings. 16. Lead by example and provide support and guidance to marketers/marketing team. 17. Help team members improve conversion rates and overall marketing performance. 18. Collaborate with marketers to identify growth opportunities and implement effective strategies. 19. Support accountability, consistency and achievement of team goals through coaching and encouragement. JOB REQUIREMENTS
(Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) 1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field, master's degree preferred. 2. Preferably at least three years' experience in health care marketing preferably in hospice care operations. 3. Demonstrated ability to work independently to increase business targets, obtain contacts, and maintain relationships in the communities. 4. Ability to market and deal tactfully with customers and the community. 5. Able to maintain an organized approach to territory management and work with limited supervision. 6. Demonstrates good communications skills, negotiation skills, and public relations skills. 7. Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
