Marketing & Creative Services Intern - Summer 2026

Director of Communications & Audience Development
CLASSIFICATION
Non Exempt PAY:
$16.00 per hour WXXI /The Little Theatre /CITY is looking for a qualified intern to join our Marketing & Creative Services team. Under the supervision of WXXI's Director of Communications & Audience Development, and the Creative Services Staff. This intern will learn about public media and the promotional efforts of the Marketing & Creative Services Team.
Duties include:
Creating content for social media, Crafting highlights for WXXI.org and in print for CITY magazine, Participating in special events including summer festivals, Assisting in the promotion and set- up of WXXI's weekly summertime concert series- Hochstein at High Falls.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
The Ideal Candidate profile will include: Undergraduate student, currently enrolled in a College program. Marketing, English or Communications majors preferred. Communications, Marketing, Social Media Ability to take direction and multi-task Self-disciplined with a strong work ethic Major experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, and Sprout Social Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a go-getter attitude Follow all NY State Broadcasters Association Internship Program requirements Benefits Shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities with team members Opportunity to participate in special events and company meetings Flexible schedule for students Paid Internship
