Role:
Kalmbach Feeds is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company building leading brands in animal nutrition. We operate with a small, high-performing team where individuals are expected to think strategically, execute quickly, and work cross-functionally to drive real business results. We are not a large, layered organization. We move fast, expect ownership, and value people who can bring structure and clarity to complexity. We are hiring a Key Accounts Marketing Lead to own and elevate our presence with our most important retail partners. Today, key account marketing is fragmented across multiple people. This role is responsible for bringing focus, structure, and consistency to how we communicate brand plans, support new product launches, and execute customer-specific marketing programs. This is not a purely creative role. It is a highly cross-functional, execution-focused role that requires strong planning, follow-through, and the ability to translate brand strategy into customer-ready programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Own Key Account Marketing ExecutionServe as the marketing lead for assigned key retail accountsEnsure consistent, high-quality communication of brand plans, priorities, and initiativesFollowing through on customer requests and internal commitmentsLead Line Reviews & Customer PresentationsBuild and own line review presentations and supporting materialsTranslate brand strategy into clear, compelling customer narrativesPartner with Sales to prepare for and execute customer meetingsSupport New Product LaunchesCoordinate marketing support for new product introductions into key accountsEnsure alignment across marketing, sales, operations, and product teamsDelivering customer-ready assets, timelines, and launch plansDevelop Customer-Specific Marketing ProgramsAdapt brand campaigns into customer-relevant programs and activationsCreate or coordinate the development of customer-specific assets when neededStrategically managing customer retail media programs to ensure maximum resultsPrioritize the most impactful channels and opportunities for each accountManage Customer Trade Shows & EventsOwn planning and execution of customer-specific trade shows and eventsCoordinate booth strategy, messaging, materials, and logisticsPartner with Sales and internal teams to ensure a strong, cohesive presenceEnsure events support broader brand and customer objectivesDrive Cross-Functional AlignmentWork closely with Sales, Key Account Managers, Brand Marketing, and OperationsEnsure commitments are realistic, aligned, and executableBring structure and clarity to complex, cross-functional initiativesWho you are: Required Experience3+ years of experience in a Key Accounts Marketing or Trade Marketing roleDirect experience working with large retail customersExperience building line review presentations and supporting customer meetingsExperience supporting new product launches into retail accountsExperience in planning and executing customer-facing trade shows or eventsCore CapabilitiesStrong planning, organization, and follow-throughAbility to manage multiple projects and stakeholders without losing detailClear, confident communicator (written and verbal)Ability to translate strategy into practical, executable plansStrong cross-functional collaboratorCritical Traits for SuccessDetail-oriented and committed to high-quality workProactive and accountable follows through without being chasedComfortable adapting in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentWorks hard as part of a team to achieve shared successAble to balance speed with discipline About the
