The Field Marketing Lead serves as the bridge between retail execution and consumer engagement, bringing Cascade Beverage brands to life in market. This role is responsible for executing merchandising initiatives, supporting key retail accounts, coordinating event logistics, and representing our brands at tastings, festivals, and community events. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, building relationships, driving sales, and creating exceptional consumer experiences. The Field Marketing Lead plays a critical role in increasing brand visibility, supporting account growth, and ensuring our products stand out wherever consumers encounter them. Duties & Responsibilities:
Event & Tasting Execution Coordinate event, tasting, and activation supplies, inventory, and logistics Set up, operate, and tear down event booths, displays, and sampling stations Represent Cascade Beverage brands at festivals, farmers markets, liquor store tastings, sporting events, and community activations Educate consumers on products, brand stories, and tasting notes Schedule and execute liquor store tastings within assigned territories Track event results, consumer feedback, and sales performance Support product deliveries and inventory management for events and tastings Assist with recruiting and training Brand Ambassadors as needed Serve as a positive and energetic brand representative in the field Sales & Merchandising Primary merchandiser for PDX West, supporting approximately 10 core accounts, with additional support in PDX East Own in-store execution including: Shelf tagging Gap fills Display builds Restocking Display maintenance POS placement Execute merchandising plans tied to annual marketing campaigns and power periods Identify opportunities for additional displays, placements, and promotions Support account relationships through regular store visits and communication Coordinate tastings and sampling opportunities with retailers Maintain merchandising standards and ensure brand visibility across assigned accounts Provide field feedback regarding competitive activity, consumer trends, and account opportunities Administrative & Team Support Maintain accurate records of store visits, display placements, tastings, and event results Submit required reports and photos documenting field execution Collaborate with sales, marketing, and retail teams to support company objectives Assist with inventory organization and preparation of event materials Perform additional duties as assigned Performance Goals Increase case sales by 10-15 cases weekly through merchandising and account support Achieve approximately 55 incremental cases monthly Drive 640-650 incremental cases annually Increase display placements and secondary placements throughout assigned territory Maintain strong relationships with retail partners and key accounts Execute tastings and events that generate measurable sales and brand awareness Required Skills & Abilities Strong communication and relationship-building skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Comfortable working in retail environments, at events, and outdoors Positive attitude with strong customer service skills Ability to educate consumers and confidently speak about spirits, wine, and ready-to-drink products Comfortable lifting, moving, and setting up event and display materials Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Education, Experience & Certifications 1-3 years of experience in merchandising, events, sampling, beverage alcohol, retail, or promotional marketing preferred Must be 21 years of age or older Must possess or be able to obtain an OLCC Server Permit Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry repeatedly throughout the workday Bonus Incentives In addition to hourly compensation, this role is eligible for SPIFFs and performance-based bonuses tied to display placements, merchandising execution, sales growth, and event performance.
