Compensation Range:
$30•35 per hour A global leader in the athletic footwear and apparel industry is seeking a dynamic, senior-level Account Marketing & Brand Activation Specialist to join their team in Portland. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of brand strategy, commercial sales, and retail merchandising. You will be the primary architect and executor of seasonal marketing calendars and high-impact consumer activation plans for key national retail accounts. Responsibilities:
Strategic Calendar Management:
Define, align, and execute the seasonal account marketing calendar, seamlessly integrating product launches, digital campaigns, and in-store brand activity.
Point-of-Purchase Execution:
Ensure the brand wins at retail by securing the highest share of space, premium placement, and flawless visual presentation within key destination store doors.
Consumer Activation & Engagement:
Drive robust sell-through and market share growth by delivering cutting-edge activation roadmaps that foster an emotional connection with consumers across all platforms.
Cross-Functional Synergy:
Act as the central "consumer activation" point of contact, collaborating daily with Key Account Sales, Marketplace Merchandising, Global Brand Creation Units, and 3rd-party creative agencies.
Commercial Analysis & Reporting:
Meticulously track and measure the commercial success and ROI of in-store toolkits and activation campaigns against targeted Brand Health KPIs.
Product Support:
Utilize deep marketplace and consumer insights to advocate for market needs and occasionally support Special Make-Up (SMU) product and franchise development.
Budget Oversight:
Efficiently manage designated project budgets, agency costs, and implementation timelines within agreed-upon measures.
Qualifications:
Experience:
5 to 8 years of progressive experience in Brand Marketing, Account Activation, Category Management, or Retail Merchandising (athletic, apparel, or lifestyle consumer goods space highly preferred).
Operational Excellence:
Exceptional structural organization with a proven ability to manage complex project timelines from virtual downloads to physical in-store deployment.
Analytical Mindset:
Strong business acumen and analytical skills to make data-driven, fact-based commercial decisions.
Influence & Collaboration:
High professional maturity and communication skills, with the ability to confidently present ideas, build consensus, and influence stakeholders across both regional and global matrixed environments.
Technical & Soft Skills:
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to stay agile and maintain graphic/execution excellence under accelerated timeline pressures.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on industry experience.
