Digital Marketing Specialist Catholic Social Services - 3.6 Philadelphia, PA Job Details Full-time 11 hours ago Qualifications Community relationship building Full Job Description Job Title Digital Marketing Specialist Reports to Director of Marketing Location Catholic Charities of Philadelphia FLSA Status Exempt EEO Classification Professionals Job Purpose The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a key role in advancing the mission of Catholic Charities of Philadelphia (CCoP) by strengthening brand awareness, expanding digital engagement, and promoting the organization's programs and services across the Greater Philadelphia region. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position is responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies that elevate the CCoP brand, connect program ministries to the broader organization, and inspire individuals to engage through volunteering, giving, and advocacy. This role combines creative storytelling and data-driven marketing to communicate the impact of CCoP's work, especially among those not actively engaged in the Church. The Digital Marketing Specialist contributes to increasing visibility, fostering community engagement, and advancing the mission of Catholic Charities through compelling and accessible digital content. Duties and Responsibilities Digital Strategy and Platform Management Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, audience growth, and engagement across social media and digital platforms. Manage and grow CCoP's social media presence across key channels, including platform selection, content mix, and posting cadence. Identify and launch new digital platforms or channels as appropriate to reach target audiences. Ensure alignment of digital strategies with organizational priorities and marketing goals. Support the ongoing maintenance and content updates of CCoP's website and related digital platforms, ensuring timely and accurate information. Content Creation & Storytelling Create and produce mission-driven content, including video, photography, graphics, and written copy, that highlights the impact of CCoP programs and services. Capture on-site content at program ministries to tell authentic and compelling stories. Organize and maintain digital media assets, including photography and video, ensuring proper documentation, storage, and usage permissions. Translate complex programs and services into clear, engaging, and accessible narratives. Ensure content consistently reflects the values, voice, and mission of Catholic Charities. Brand Integration & Awareness Ensure adherence to brand standards and visual identity guidelines across all digital content and program-level communications. Provide guidance and support to ministries to reinforce consistent brand application. Campaign Development & Execution Plan and implement digital marketing campaigns aligned with organizational priorities, including awareness, volunteer recruitment, and donor engagement. Collaborate with Development and program leadership to support fundraising and outreach initiatives. Leverage storytelling, testimonials, and impact narratives to drive measurable engagement and action. Audience Engagement & Community Building Monitor and actively engage with online audiences across digital platforms. Foster meaningful interaction that encourages participation in volunteering, giving, and advocacy. Support the development of an engaged online community aligned with the mission and values of CCoP. Analytics & Performance Optimization Track and analyze digital marketing performance using key metrics, including reach, engagement, follower growth, and conversions. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across platforms and campaigns. Translate analytics into actionable insights and recommendations to improve performance. Apply data-informed insights to refine content strategies and campaign effectiveness. Collaboration Across the Organization Partner with program leadership and staff across ministries to identify and elevate impactful stories. Provide support for internal and external communications initiatives as needed, ensuring alignment with marketing strategy and organizational priorities. Coordinate, as appropriate, with Archdiocesan partners, including the Communications Office, to ensure consistency, alignment, and shared impact. Organizational Responsibilities Treat all colleagues, program participants, and community partners with dignity and respect. Support and uphold the mission, values, and teachings of the Catholic Church in all aspects of work. Attend meetings, trainings, and events as required to support collaboration and professional development. Travel locally throughout the Greater Philadelphia region to support program engagement and content development. Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience. Two (2)- five (5) years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, or content creation required. Experience working in a nonprofit, faith-based, or mission-driven organization preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong commitment to the mission and values of CCoP and an understanding of Catholic Church teaching. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective digital marketing strategies. Proficiency in content creation tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and mobile video editing platforms. Working knowledge of social media platforms and best practices, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Strong storytelling skills with the ability to create engaging and mission-focused content. Experience using analytics tools and applying data to improve performance. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments. Ability to exercise sound judgment, creativity, and initiative in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions Primarily office-based with regular local travel to program sites and events. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to support content capture and organizational needs. Requires the ability to sit, stand, and work on a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally and perform duties in a variety of environments.
