About this role Responsible for developing campaigns to publicize and support the marketing of career education programs that prepare students to enter the workforce. Creates career path information in a variety of media formats for all occupational programs. Identifies needs and works to build enrollment in career programs through effective, targeted marketing and communication campaigns. Collaborates with staff and faculty toward the common goal of marketing career education programs to the community in accordance with the goals outlined within the grant. This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding. What a day of a College Relations and Marketing Specialist looks like: Writes, edits, and produces marketing materials including brochures, catalogs, newsletters, reports, and specialized publications. Develops communication campaigns to publicize the College's programs and events. Assists College departments, faculty, and staff in establishing public relations, marketing, and communications programs. Monitors the effectiveness of programs implemented. Coordinates media coverage of the College by pitching story ideas, facilitating news coverage, preparing and disseminating press releases, responding to media inquiries, arranging or participating in interviews, and contributing new stories to the College's online news center. Provides information to the public, students, and staff regarding programs and services of a department, campus, or the College. Develops concepts, layouts, and scripts for paid advertisements. Develops short-term and long-term goals, objectives, priorities, and recommendations. Assists with the development of the departmental newsletter including contributing articles, photos, and other materials. Travels to meetings, between the College locations, and for other purposes. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. We'd love to hear from you if you have the following:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree within specific subject area related to the position. Two years of related experience.
Knowledge of:
Microsoft Office Professional or similar application Skilled in: Delivering a high level of customer service Writing with clarity, consistency, and precision Writing in a positive manner to reflect favorably upon the organization Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management Ability to: Organize and prioritize multiple competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service
