40 Summary The Content Marketing Specialist will help bring the institution's mission, people, programs, and impact to life through compelling content and digital storytelling. This role identifies, creates, and repurposes content across multiple channels while supporting marketing campaigns and audience engagement efforts. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, naturally curious, digitally fluent, and able to turn conversations, experiences, and ideas into meaningful stories that support organizational goals. Essential Functions The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible to: Identify and capture stories across programs, departments, students, faculty, partners, and organizational initiatives. Conduct interviews and gather information that can be transformed into meaningful content. Create and organize content needed for marketing initiatives and campaigns including ad campaigns, landing pages, and related marketing materials. Translate complex ideas into clear, engaging, and audience-focused messaging. Create, coordinate, publish or update content across digital channels and platforms, including websites, email, promotional materials, blogs, and social platforms as assigned. Look for opportunities to identify, repurpose, and refresh stories, testimonials, and content themes to strengthen campaign performance, enrollment support, fundraising, community engagement, and institutional priorities. Organize and maintain content resources, assets, and editorial calendars. Apply basic SEO and digital content best practices when creating content. Supports the planning, execution, and monitoring of digital advertising efforts as one component of broader campaign strategy. Work with designers, videographers, photographers, faculty, staff, and external contributors to develop content and support storytelling efforts. Contribute ideas and insights that strengthen content effectiveness and audience engagement. Provide additional support as needed for communications and marketing initiatives based on team priorities and organizational needs. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Resonance with the mission, vision, and ethos of The Seattle School and the Allender Center, and Center for Transforming Engagement 2-5+ years of experience in content creation, communications, marketing, journalism, storytelling, or related work Experience writing for multiple audiences and channels (web, email, social media, campaigns, blogs, etc.) Strong writing and editing ability Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, audience-focused content Basic understanding of SEO and digital content best practices Comfort learning new digital tools and technology Curious and naturally drawn to stories and people Ability to work independently and collaboratively Organized and self-directed Adaptable and willing to contribute across multiple types of projects Compensation & Benefits The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology provides competitive compensation (DOE) and benefits.
