Duties Set up attractive and organized vendor booths to display, artisanal goods, or specialty items. Engage with customers through friendly conversations, product demos, and sharing the story behind your products to enhance their shopping experience. Collect data on customer preferences and sales trends to optimize product offerings and improve market performance. Manage social media accounts to promote upcoming market days, special events, and featured vendors, increasing community engagement. Conduct product sampling and demonstrations to attract visitors and boost sales while educating customers about your offerings. Handle transactions accurately using cashless or cash payment systems; provide excellent customer service throughout each interaction. Participate in event marketing efforts by assisting with promotional activities, branding initiatives, and public speaking engagements at the market. Experience Previous experience in food service, retail sales, or event marketing is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in both English and another language (bilingual ability) is a plus for engaging diverse community members. Familiarity with social media management tools to create engaging content and promote market events effectively. Ability to perform data collection related to sales performance and customer feedback for continuous improvement. Experience in public speaking or product demos that effectively showcase products and engage audiences. Knowledge of branding principles and marketing strategies to help elevate the market's visibility within the community. Customer service experience that demonstrates patience, active listening, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
