Overview As a Product Specialist on our Guitar+ team, you'll help shape the products that musicians around the world rely on every day. You'll play a hands-on role in driving product and business initiatives across our Strings and Accessories lines, touching every stage of the product life cycle, from market research and product development to product information management, launch execution, sales enablement, and the customer-facing marketing that brings it all to life. This is a highly cross-functional role with real visibility. You'll partner closely with product management, marketing, sales, operations, finance, engineering, customer service, and our artist and educator relations teams to bring innovative products to market and fuel our continued growth. If you're curious, collaborative, and excited to see your work in the hands of players everywhere, this is your stage. This is a hybrid role. You'll work on-site in our Farmingdale, NY office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (and occasionally more often when the work calls for it). From time to time, you may also be asked to spend a day in our Brooklyn office. Expect domestic travel of roughly 10-20% for trade shows, customer meetings, and events, with occasional international travel depending on business needs — a chance to get out, meet our customers, and experience our products in the wild. Compensation:
We offer a competitive total compensation package. The base salary range for this role is $65,000-$75,000 and is commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in accordance with company policy. Responsibilities Support product development and launch execution — project coordination, research, testing, item setup, packaging, and cross-functional follow-through. Collect and analyze data to drive business planning, including pricing, cost/margin, budget tracking, portfolio performance, market sizing, and competitive analysis. Maintain accurate product data, digital assets, and content across internal systems and customer-facing channels. Develop and coordinate product and marketing assets: presentations, product copy, fact sheets, training materials, photography, packaging, video, social and printed content, and press materials. Support sales enablement and B2B initiatives through promotional support and retail account coordination. Help plan and run trade shows and customer events — logistics, booth setup, messaging, reporting, and lead follow-up. Contribute to market research, product positioning, and concept development by gathering customer, competitor, and industry insights. Support artist, educator, and customer engagement through outreach, content collaboration, and product inquiries. Drive clear, timely communication across departments and champion product priorities in cross-functional work. Own assigned projects while spotting opportunities to improve processes and efficiency. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders. Excellent organization and attention to detail, with a knack for juggling multiple projects and deadlines. Comfort using AI and data analysis to shape recommendations and inform decisions. Quick to learn business systems like ERP and project management tools. A market-driven mindset and genuine curiosity about customers, competitors, and product opportunities. Hands-on familiarity with the product category — or the ability to speak credibly with customers, educators, artists, and retailers. Confident interpersonal skills to represent the brand at meetings, events, and customer-facing activities. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, music business, music education, product management, or a related field. 1-3 years in product development, marketing, music retail, or sales; relevant internships or industry exposure also considered. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and collaboration tools like Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet. Competent Musician, plays a fretted instrument, able to communicate fluently with performers, educators, instrument builders, and other music industry professionals.
