Job Description

Matthews Playhouse is seeking a creative, strategic, and results‑driven Marketing Specialist to lead marketing and communications efforts for our productions, educational programs, and special events. This role is responsible for developing marketing strategy, creating and overseeing digital and print content, managing public relations, and analyzing performance to measure return on investment. The Marketing Specialist will manage social media, email campaigns, paid advertising, and media relationships while ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for shows and programs Manage social media content across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok Create and send email newsletters and campaigns using Mailchimp Secure and coordinate media coverage, press releases, and advertising Oversee digital ads, website updates, and related vendors Track performance metrics and provide ROI and impact reports Collaborate with staff and community partners to grow audience engagement The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, has graphic designer experience, organized, creative, and comfortable balancing hands‑on content creation with big‑picture strategy. Experience in nonprofit, arts, or live events marketing is strongly preferred.
Pay:
$35,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year

Hybrid remote in Mint Hill, NC 28227
