Job Description

Description Summary:
The Marketing Strategist, Home Lending will be responsible for shaping and executing end-to-end marketing strategies for Huntington's home lending portfolio, including mortgage purchase, refinance, HELOC and HELOAN products. This role owns the development of integrated, multi‑channel marketing strategies that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention while balancing growth, risk, and customer experience. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in home lending marketing, best practices in customer engagement, and the ability to translate complex business objectives into actionable marketing plans. This position partners closely with product management, marketing operations, digital media, analytics, technology, finance, and compliance to deliver performance‑driven campaigns. The Marketing Strategist manages the home lending marketing budget and is accountable for campaign performance against business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and lead integrated, multi‑channel marketing strategies across owned, paid, direct mail, digital, and branch channels to support mortgage purchase, refinance, retention, and portfolio growth. Translate strategic priorities into an annual marketing plan and detailed campaign calendar aligned to business goals, product roadmaps, and seasonal demand. Own marketing strategy in support of community lending initiatives, partnering with business segment leaders, legal, and compliance to ensure regulatory alignment while advancing growth and CRA-related objectives. Author clear, insight‑driven creative briefs that articulate strategy, audience, messaging, value proposition, success metrics, and execution requirements for cross‑functional partners and agencies. Define and lead a test‑and‑learn roadmap to evaluate new audiences, offers, channels, messaging, and journeys, with a focus on improving engagement, conversion, and funded loan outcomes. Partner with analytics to establish KPIs, measure campaign effectiveness, interpret performance insights, and develop data‑backed optimization recommendations. Monitor industry, consumer, and competitive trends within home lending to proactively identify risks, opportunities, and implications for marketing strategy. Ensure flawless execution of marketing campaigns from strategy through launch, optimization, and post‑campaign assessment, including adherence to brand, regulatory, and operational standards. Manage the home lending marketing budget, including allocation, pacing, and monthly forecasting; ensure spend efficiency and ROI discipline. Communicate strategy, performance, and insights to senior stakeholders, providing clear recommendations and influencing decisions. Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree A minimum of 7 years of marketing strategy experience with home lending products and services
Preferred Qualifications:
Deep expertise in core marketing disciplines including segmentation, targeting, messaging, channel strategy, and customer journey design Strong strategic and analytical orientation with experience supporting opportunity assessment, test design, and ROI optimization Demonstrated ability to translate complex strategies into practical, executable marketing plans Proven effectiveness leading work across cross‑functional and matrixed teams Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and "sell in" ideas to senior leadership Robust project management skills with the ability to manage multiple products, priorities, and timelines concurrently #LI-NG1 #
