Job Description

Position Summary The Healthcare Field Representative is responsible for conducting in-person visits to healthcare provider locations to support Medicaid provider enrollment and screening activities for the Virginia PRSS program. This is a field-based role requiring regular travel throughout an assigned territory to verify provider information, complete site visit documentation, and support compliance with Medicaid program requirements. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, comfortable working independently, and enjoys working directly with provider offices in the field. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-person site visits at healthcare provider locations throughout the assigned region Verify provider business operations, location, and required information Complete required site visit documentation, photographs, and reporting Coordinate directly with providers to schedule and complete visits Manage daily travel schedules and territory coverage efficiently Update systems and records with visit status, notes, and findings Identify and escalate discrepancies or compliance concerns as needed Maintain professionalism and strong customer service during provider interactions Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare, community health, provider support, patient services, social services, or related field. Ability to travel frequently within assigned territory Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage daily field activities Basic computer, mobile device, and data entry skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working in Medicaid, healthcare providers or healthcare operations preferred Community Health Worker (CHW), provider relations, case management, or healthcare outreach experience is a plus Experience conducting field visits, home visits, inspections, or territory-based work preferred Key Competencies Attention to detail Professional communication skills Time management and organization Problem-solving and sound judgment Customer service and relationship management Reliability and accountability Work Environment & Travel Primarily field-based position with daily local travel throughout Virginia Mileage reimbursement provided for all approved business travel.
