Description:
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for helping to develop and execute marketing plans and projects that support the food bank's awareness, engagement, and fundraising goals. Working with individuals across our organization and wider community, this role contributes to the success of key initiatives by both supporting and managing high-profile brand and issue awareness efforts like PSA campaigns, co-branding with our nonprofit partners, promoting the food bank's resources to our neighbors who may need them, ensuring brand uniformity across an array of public-facing materials, and more.
Essential Functions:
Brand Marketing Support Director of Marketing in developing resources and campaigns to raise brand and issue awareness as well as affinity among key audiences Assist Director of Marketing with advancing strategic initiative of organizational brand refresh, including collecting and cataloguing existing public-facing materials for updating, rolling out changes to staff, etc. Lead the creation and deployment of strategies, tactics and resources such as brand toolkits and co-promotional assets to elevate the food bank brand via its local partner network Manage branding efforts through the food bank's owned properties, such as vehicle wrapping and food distribution sites Own campaign and advertising results tracking - requesting and compiling metrics from media partners, fundraising team, and communications colleagues - to shape into actionable insights with Director of Marketing Support social media influencer marketing efforts with communications team, partnering on prospecting and engagement execution Program Marketing Support the development and execution of marketing plans to connect food bank resources with neighbors who need them Manage select programmatic marketing initiatives, including the organization's annual free summer meals for kids campaign Produce program marketing materials, from ideation to delivery, including through copywriting and basic graphic design work in Canva Support the prospecting, recruitment, stewardship, and execution of community partnerships with other local organizations (i.e. the library) to market the food bank's resources and brand Assist in building internal brand review processes for public-facing collateral from program team colleagues; own review and revision of said collateral to ensure quality as well as adherence to design guidelines and brand standards Partner with Director of Marketing on the development of public-facing collateral templates and support colleagues in their use Miscellaneous Manage the creation and production of branded promotional materials (t-shirts and other giveaways) and physical marketing materials (including banners, interior signage, etc.) for marketing activities as needed Serve as point for various vendor relationships including print, design, production, and more Execute marketing activities for major events and food drives as needed Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
College degree in related field or; 3+ years of professional experience in marketing, fundraising or events Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to effectively use available tools and technology to keep all deliverables on track and all stakeholders informed of progress Highly organized and efficient; with the ability to prioritize and get things done on schedule and work under pressure to meet multiple tight deadlines Strong interpersonal skills and respect for priorities and work pressures of colleagues and funders Solid professional writing skills marked by the ability to communicate key points in a clear and compelling manner Capacity to analyze data and use it in the decision-making process Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team Demonstrated initiative and creativity Ability and experience with design software such as Canva a plus Commitment to the CAFB's mission and team values Requires standing, sitting, typing, and occasional movement of promotional material items and boxes
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Required to speak and listen effectively, both in person and over the phone.

Compensation:
$58,900 - $75,800 per year
Schedule:
Hybrid with three days in office and two days working remotely Regular work hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 5:00pm; with weekends or extended hours for special events
