- Your role and responsibilities
- As a Field Marketing Professional for Technology aligned to IBM's AI Portfolio covering the US Market, you will combine deep knowledge of clients, their buying behaviors, and market trends to drive business outcomes.
You will leverage this expertise to orchestrate and deliver marketing campaigns that accelerate buyer journeys and revenue growth.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate across marketing function to connect demand generation, product, content, ABM and event marketing plans with sales teams to generate and progress pipeline, attract new clients, and increase client loyalty and retention.
- Orchestrate the different marketing disciplines with sales to make sure we are creating compelling marketing tactics that resonate with client needs and address pipeline gaps.
- Lead with deep market expertise and coach others to growth.
- Develop and demonstrate strong working knowledge of IBM's AI Portfolio (e.g. IBM Bob and watsonx) and the US market, and how our technology solves our client's business challenges.
- Execute marketing plans that leverage the collective strength of IBM Marketing and Communications to deliver on KPIs and business objectives.
- Deliver pipeline and revenue targets, deepen client engagement, and help progress opportunities via marketing and communications strategies.
- Leverage data-driven analysis to inform marketing strategies and tactics, report on performance and ROI.
- Required technical and professional expertise
- Experience working with Data and AI B2B technologies to drive product consideration, awareness, and growth.
- Distinguished written and oral English skills; the ability to present and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at all levels, especially at the executive level.
- Experience in creating and implementing end-to-end marketing plans, leveraging different marketing teams within the organization, including global teams.
- Experience in working hand-in-hand with Sales, familiarity with sales pipeline and forecast concepts.
- Familiarity with all disciplines of the marketing mix (events, social, ABM, content, digital).
- Acquaintance with end-to-end digital funnel KPIs and working out marketing leads with sales.
- Fluency in business and marketing metrics, strategic business planning acumen and ability to quickly adjust based on business needs.
- Preferred technical and professional experience
Emerging Growth Area Expertise:
Deep expertise in identifying and capitalizing on emerging growth areas e.g. generative AI tools and AI agents to inform route-to-market design and GTM enablement.
Data Analysis and Insights:
Experience leveraging advanced data analysis techniques to inform marketing strategies and define corrective actions to accelerate growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Experience co-owning marketing-led initiatives with business unit sales leaders.
Post-Event Follow-up Actions:
Experience planning and executing post-event follow-up actions to maximize the impact of regional and local marketing events to see ROI from those investments.
