The Hope Center is home to more than 65 ministries and nonprofits working to make Christ known around the world. Located in Plano, Texas, The Hope Center strengthens ministries by creating an environment where leaders and organizations can collaborate, share resources, and maximize Kingdom impact.
Position Summary:
The Communications & Marketing Strategist is responsible for helping The Hope Center communicate clearly, consistently, and compellingly across internal communications, tenant relations, digital marketing, social media, storytelling, development messaging, and organizational communication. This role works closely with executive leadership, particularly the Chief Operating Officer, to transform ideas, updates, priorities, and organizational initiatives into polished communication that reflects the mission, values, and voice of The Hope Center. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, organized thinker, strategic communicator, and technology-savvy professional who understands modern communication, social media, AI-assisted tools, and storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal & Tenant Communications:
Draft, edit, and coordinate tenant communications, notices, updates, reminders, and announcements Ensure communication is clear, professional, timely, and aligned with leadership direction Transform rough notes and verbal ideas into polished written communication Maintain communication calendars, approval processes, and follow-up systems Coordinate messaging across departments to ensure consistent communication
Executive Communication Support:
Support executive leadership with communication planning, drafting, and organization Prepare leadership updates, reports, summaries, meeting materials, and talking points Assist with communication planning around major initiatives, events, and organizational priorities Organize communication-related projects and follow-through Handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
External Communications & Marketing:
Draft and refine website content, email campaigns, promotional materials, and development messaging Support marketing efforts for office space, coworking, events, ministry partnerships, and donor engagement Develop messaging strategies for tenants, churches, ministries, donors, event clients, and community partners Create campaign concepts and content frameworks that support organizational goals
Social Media & Digital Content:
Develop and coordinate social media content strategies Create or direct content including posts, captions, videos, reels, stories, and campaign content Track engagement and content performance to improve future communication Manage content calendars and digital communication plans Identify opportunities to increase engagement through stronger storytelling and content strategy
Stories of Impact & Collaboration:
Identify and communicate stories of ministry impact throughout The Hope Center community Develop content for written communications, social media, podcasts, videos, donor updates, and event promotions Collaborate with tenants, staff, and leadership to highlight meaningful ministry stories Support podcast, video, and interview-style content development
Creative Direction & AI-Assisted Execution:
Utilize AI-assisted tools and modern technology to improve communication efficiency Provide creative direction and feedback on graphics, videos, presentations, and marketing materials Assist with light graphic design, content layout, presentations, and video editing Develop repeatable systems and workflows for communication and marketing efforts
Systems, Planning & Organization:
Organize communication workflows, project timelines, templates, and content calendars Track communication deadlines and project priorities across departments Maintain communication assets and records Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and streamlined processes
Who We're Looking For:
Strong writer and clear communicator Highly organized and detail-oriented Comfortable supporting executive leadership Skilled at turning complex ideas into clear messaging Experienced with social media, content strategy, and digital communication Tech-comfortable and proficient with modern communication tools AI-proficient or eager to leverage AI thoughtfully and effectively Strategic, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities Professional, discreet, and service-minded Aligned with The Hope Center's mission and values
Preferred Experience:
Communications, marketing, copywriting, or content strategy Executive or internal communications Social media strategy and digital content planning Nonprofit, ministry, church, or mission-driven organizations AI-assisted productivity, writing, design, or content tools Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, Descript, or similar platforms Website content, email marketing, social media campaigns, or storytelling initiatives Project coordination and communication workflow management Google Workspace and/or
Microsoft Office Work Schedule:
Full-time position Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM On-site in
