About Us Cogbill Construction, in Vidor, TX, is a metal fabrication company using technology, AI, and automation to improve how we operate. We have built our own internal ERP system and are looking for a practical, hands-on person to help improve it, automate workflows, organize data, and support process improvements in the office and shop. Position Summary We are looking for an AI Process Automation Specialist to build practical tools that improve estimating, quoting, job tracking, reporting, document handling, and daily workflow. This role combines programming, AI tools, databases, ERP systems, and process improvement. The right person does not need to be an expert in metal fabrication, but should be willing to learn how our shop operates and work closely with both office and shop employees. Responsibilities Improve and expand our internal ERP system Build automation tools using Python, SQL, APIs, and AI tools Develop AI-assisted tools for estimating, quoting, job tracking, reporting, and document handling Create dashboards, reports, forms, and internal tools Automate repetitive office and administrative tasks Help identify bottlenecks and improve workflows Support shop-floor process improvements where possible Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, related engineering or technical field Experience with Python or similar programming/scripting language SQL/database knowledge Strong interest or experience in AI tools, APIs, automation, or workflow improvement Strong problem-solving and communication skills Willingness to learn how a fabrication shop operates Preferred ERP, business software, or internal systems experience Experience with Claude, ChatGPT, AI APIs, or automation agents Manufacturing, fabrication, CNC, CAD, or shop-floor experience Experience with dashboards, reporting, Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Access, JavaScript, or web-based applications How to Apply Please submit your resume and a short note describing your experience with programming, Python, SQL, AI tools, databases, ERP systems, automation, manufacturing, or process improvement.
