This is not a desk-only marketing position. We are looking for someone who enjoys networking, attending community events, building professional relationships, and actively generating referrals. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can identify opportunities, represent the organization professionally, and help drive sustainable growth. This position offers a base salary covering approximately 10 hours per week , plus commission opportunities based on referral and business development performance . About Us New Path Interventions provides community-based behavioral health services throughout Virginia, including: Intensive In-Home (IIH) Mental Health Skill-Building Services (MHSB) Community Stabilization (CS) Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Outpatient Therapy Residential Crisis Stabilization (coming soon) We are expanding rapidly and seeking a marketing professional who can help us build meaningful partnerships with referral sources across the communities we serve. Position Overview The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining referral relationships, identifying networking opportunities, coordinating community outreach efforts, and supporting the organization's growth objectives. This individual will supervise Community Liaisons and ensure outreach activities are strategic, organized, and effective. We are looking for someone who understands that successful marketing is an ongoing process that requires consistency, persistence, and relationship-building. ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Referral Generation Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources throughout Virginia. Promote New Path Interventions' services to community partners. Identify opportunities to increase referrals and service utilization.
Build partnerships with:
Community Services Boards (CSBs) Hospitals and emergency departments Schools and school divisions Court Service Units Juvenile justice agencies Social service agencies Case management organizations Medical providers Community organizations and nonprofits Community Outreach Research and identify community events, conferences, health fairs, and networking opportunities. Coordinate and attend outreach events on behalf of the organization. Represent the company professionally within the community. Deliver presentations and informational sessions regarding services. Ensure the organization maintains a visible presence in key service areas. Team Leadership Supervise and support Community Liaisons. Assist with outreach planning and accountability. Track outreach efforts and referral activity. Help create strategies to improve community engagement and referral outcomes. Marketing Strategy Assist leadership with developing marketing initiatives. Maintain referral tracking systems. Evaluate effectiveness of outreach efforts. Recommend new strategies for growth and community engagement. Collaborate with leadership on branding and public awareness efforts. QualificationsRequired Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to network confidently with professionals and community stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Virginia. Ability to represent the organization professionally in a variety of settings. Experience in sales, marketing, business development, community outreach, healthcare, behavioral health, or a related field. Preferred Experience marketing behavioral health, healthcare, social services, or human services programs. Existing relationships with referral sources throughout Virginia. Experience supervising outreach staff or community liaisons. Knowledge of Virginia's behavioral health system. Experience with CRM or referral tracking systems.
Compensation Base Salary:
Designed to cover approximately 10 hours per week.
Commission Structure:
Additional earnings based on successful referral development, business growth, and performance metrics. High-performing candidates who are effective at building referral partnerships and increasing service utilization will have significant earning potential.
