Medical Equipment Planner Salary Range:
$95,000 - $135,000 annually About the Role The Medical Equipment Planner independently manages equipment planning, procurement, and installation coordination for major construction projects.

"The Medical Equipment Planner shall be relied upon to independently create and execute appropriate equipment planning services… including overseeing and assisting with major project activations, equipment planning, specifying, budgeting, preparing solicitation packages for equipment purchases." Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze architectural drawings, equipment schedules, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Conduct equipment inventory audits and prepare reuse analysis reports.
  • Coordinate with engineering, architecture, IT, biomedical, and activation teams.
  • Prepare procurement packages (SOWs, specifications, IGCEs, budgets).
  • Track procurement status, delivery, and installation schedules.
  • Maintain digital resource libraries and documentation.
  • Provide training to clinical staff and coordinate with Biomedical and Logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, FDA, NRC, AAMI, TJC, and VA standards. Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of medical technology and equipment standards.
  • Ability to write equipment specifications and SOWs.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
AutoCAD, MS Project.
  • Strong communication skills. Physical Requirements
  • On‑site equipment assessments and walkthroughs.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Extended periods of computer work. Employment Requirements
