Job Description
The
- Senior Product Manager
- for the Commercial Braking Systems product line plays a critical, end to end leadership role across product strategy, new product introduction (NPI), and portfolio performance management.
Location:
- South Bend, IN
Travel:
- 10%
- Product and Offering Strategy
- + Define and execute product and offering strategies aligned to business goals and long‑term portfolio direction.
- New Product Development (NPD) & New Product Introduction (NPI)
- + Lead NPD and NPI strategy, execution, and acceleration across the product line + Define product requirements, features, and specifications based on customer, market, and regulatory needs.
- Cross‑Functional & Stakeholder Leadership
- + Lead and influence cross‑functional teams including R D, engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and sales. + Act as the primary point of contact and advocate for products and portfolio decisions. + Communicate strategy, performance, and priorities clearly to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
- + Define and track KPIs related to revenue, margin, market share, customer satisfaction, and lifecycle health.
YOU MUST HAVE
- + 5+ years in product management, program management, business management, engineering, or related roles + Strong leadership and people management skills + Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities + Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to identify growth opportunities + Experience developing business cases, financial models, and investment recommendations + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Knowledge of aircraft wheels and braking systems or carbon-carbon composite technologies •
