POSITION SUMMARY
Diamond Wipes International, Inc. is a leading contract manufacturer (OEM) of wet wipes for the cosmetic, personal care, household, and consumer products industries. We are seeking a Product Development Coordinator to serve as the project quarterback from customer inquiry through commercialization. This role is the central point of coordination between Sales, R D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Production, ensuring that new and revised products move from concept to finished goods on time and within cost targets. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, brings a fundamental understanding of packaging components and project knowledge, and is energized by the challenge of managing multiple customer projects simultaneously. This position reports to the Director of Project Management and partners directly with our Sales team and customers to bring wet wipe and filling products to market.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Project Coordination & Execution Coordinate the end-to-end product development process from initial customer inquiry/questionnaire through production launch and commercialization handoff. Execute all phases of product development including bill of materials determination, cost analysis, claims testing, prototype sample submission, and customer approval. Prioritize tasks across multiple concurrent projects, adjust workflows, and track progress to ensure timely execution against customer-committed timelines. Manage the development-to-production transition, ensuring all specifications, BOMs, artwork, and component orders are finalized before the first production run. Maintain project documentation including approvals, change requests, testing results, and stage-gate milestones. Cross-Functional Liaison Act as the central point of contact between Sales, R D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Production throughout the development lifecycle. Support the Sales team and customers by providing project updates, timelines, status reports, and proactive communication on risks or delays. Engage in brainstorming sessions and contribute to concept ideation for new product formats, packaging configurations, and formulation approaches. Coordinate with Regulatory/Compliance on ingredient reviews, labeling requirements, and claims substantiation to ensure products meet
FDA, OTC
monograph, and cosmetic regulations as applicable. Technical & Commercial Support Determine product packaging materials and sourcing requirements; understand substrate options, film structures, flow wrap and pouch formats, and component lead times. Maintain accurate and current product specifications, BOMs, and associated documentation within the ERP system. Support the development of customer-specific cost models and assist in quotation preparation in partnership with Sales and Finance. Review artwork and proofs collaboratively with internal teams and customers; ensure timely completion to facilitate on-schedule component ordering. Understand manufacturing line capabilities, MOQs, changeover constraints, and material lead times to set realistic project timelines. Assist team leader with additional tasks and projects as delegated.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Industry Knowledge:
Passion for the cosmetics and personal care industry with awareness of consumer trends, emerging ingredients, and competitive product formats.
Project Management:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize effectively, and drive tasks to completion.
Analytical Thinking:
Ability to use numbers, data, and structured thinking to make decisions, solve problems, and optimize project outcomes. Root cause mindset — not just fixing problems but understanding why they occurred.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable presenting project status to customers and internal leadership.

Positive and proactive mindset with strong enthusiasm for continuous learning. Thrives in environments where priorities shift and speed matters.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Salesforce and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, DEACOM, or similar) is a plus. Experience with project management tools.
Language:
English fluency.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Packaging Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in project management, product development, or a coordination role within the cosmetic, personal care, household, or CPG industry. Experience in a contract manufacturing (OEM) environment is strongly preferred. Manufacturing or production floor experience is a plus. Basic understanding of packaging development, pouching, flow wrapping, formulation basics, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance within the consumer products space. Familiarity with FDA cosmetic and OTC monograph frameworks, ingredient labeling, is a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS / JOB ENVIRONMENT
This position operates primarily in a professional office environment with regular time spent on the manufacturing production floor. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers is used routinely. When on the production floor, the employee will be required to follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) protocols and wear appropriate PPE. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type, file, and lift office supplies or product samples up to 20 pounds.
