You'll develop and apply insights to help infuse innovative features into our product development process. Description At Apple, we combine product management/development and product marketing responsibilities into a single, cross functional Product Management role that collaborates with design, engineering, finance, legal, marketing communications, public relations, market research, sales and support for maximum impact across the organization. Then we want to hear from you!","responsibilities":"Collaborate with engineering and design teams to define product roadmap and strategy for key system apps including Calendar, Files, Finder, Preview, Calculator and Settings, as well as important app frameworks for developers Understand your product technologies several layers deep and be able to clearly communicate them with knowledgable insight Influence critical product trade-offs that impact schedule, usability, differentiation, etc Deeply understand user feedback, competitive trends, emerging regulatory requirements, and the overall product space to inform a well-developed perspective on system apps Position Apple's suite of System Apps in the competitive landscape and craft compelling key product messaging to encourage customer adoption to drive business growth Work with marketing communications and PR on the development of product launch and momentum activities, press releases, marketing materials, and press briefings including product demos Serve as an ambassador for Apple through press briefings and customer visits to drive advocacy for your product Preferred Qualifications Deep understanding of app development Best-in-class oral and written communication skills; the ability to become fluent in technical concepts and explain to non-technical partners Strong ability to lead through influence, debate and storytelling Exceptional interpersonal skills; thrives in highly collaborative projects, effective at building consensus, handles high stakes decisions with ease, with the ability to cut through ambiguity Strong analytical abilities and an uncompromising attention to detail with the ability to operate seamlessly between highly detailed and technical situations and strategic business situations A self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities Press and media experience with success as a product spokesperson on a national or global level Willingness to travel BS/BA and/or MBA Minimum Qualifications 4+ years experience in product marketing and/or product management roles, including at least one entire product development cycle from concept to launch Hands-on experience formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing for both technical and consumer audiences, and/or partnering with engineering during early research and development to define product strategy and roadmap, and with marketing and public relations to craft positioning, and define marketing activities Recent experience within the last 3 years in one or more of the following software segments: consumer apps (productivity, utility, creativity), app frameworks, or consumer OS experiences Ability to drive communication with key stakeholders, the media, and public, as demonstrated by exceptional presentation skills: developing keynote addresses in an area of deep subject matter expertise, synthesizing information, applying critical thinking and maintaining composure under pressure Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
