Title 3D Product Development Specialist - Eyewear Location Onsite role supporting office, warehouse, and production floor environments Exact city/state not provided Overview This role is with a premium luxury product design and manufacturing organization specializing in highly detailed eyewear development. The position supports the transformation of 2D eyewear concepts, sketches, and technical drawings into accurate 3D Rhino models while preserving the original design intent, aesthetic flow, manufacturability, and fit requirements. Must-Have Domains 3D eyewear product development and technical modeling Rhino-based surface modeling, prototyping, and 2D CAD documentation Luxury product manufacturing, design translation, and prototype refinement Core Responsibilities Convert 2D eyewear sketches, design concepts, and technical drawings into complete 3D Rhino design files. Develop complex 3D surfaces, radiuses, material thicknesses, mechanical functionality, and part connectivity while maintaining original design intent. Support rough prototype development, including 3D printed and metal cast prototypes for design review and approval. Make real-time design revisions to move concepts from early development through final approval. Create detailed 2D drawings and profiles that clearly communicate approved 3D designs for production and manufacturing teams. Must-Have Experience 3-5 years of Rhino experience building complex 3D design models. Experience translating 2D design concepts into detailed, manufacturable 3D product models. Hands-on experience with 3D printing workflows, prototype setup, printed part evaluation, and refinement. Top 5 Must-Have Technical Skills Rhino 3D modeling Complex surface modeling and radius development Adobe Illustrator KeyShot 3D rendering and animation 3D printing and prototype development Preferred Skills Experience working with eyewear design, components, materials, and manufacturing concepts. Ability to create 2D CAD drawings from completed 3D Rhino files. Strong understanding of low-level mechanical functionality, fit, and part connectivity. High attention to detail and ability to focus for extended periods on complex technical modeling work. Patience, teachability, and willingness to learn a highly specialized luxury eyewear design process over time. Work Environment Full-time, non-exempt position. Monday through Friday schedule, generally 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Reports directly to the Head of the Eyewear Division. No supervisory responsibilities. Work is performed across office, warehouse, and production floor settings. Regular use of computers, phones, electronic devices, and design software. Role may require sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive hand or wrist movements. Travel is not expected.
