Job Description

About X:
X is Alphabet's moonshot factory with a mission of inventing and launching "moonshot" technologies that could someday make the world a radically better place. We are a diverse group of inventors and entrepreneurs who build and launch technologies that aim to improve the lives of millions, even billions, of people.
Our goal:
10x impact on the world's most intractable problems, not just 10% improvement. We approach projects that have the aspiration and riskiness of research with the speed and ambition of a startup. As an innovation engine, X focuses on repeatedly turning breakthrough-technology ideas into the foundations for large, sustainable businesses.
About the team:
We're a small, passionate and driven team of experienced ML researchers, software engineers and product managers on a mission to make the practice of law radically more efficient and accurate. Our legal moonshot is focusing on de-risking our technology quickly, refining our tech prototypes, running experiments with partners and developing a valuable product for our users. Our culture is one of mutual care and respect, individual competence and most important of all, fun!
About the role:
As our Commercialization Lead, you will be the primary architect and hands-on executor of our market entry strategy. You sit at the intersection of Product, Sales, and Marketing, ensuring that our innovations don't just launch, but thrive. You will orchestrate the go-to-market strategy, transforming an early solution into a scalable, high-growth revenue engine. You will spearhead market entry by identifying and securing crucial early adopters, while simultaneously building the strategic partnerships and sales channels needed to accelerate customer acquisition. How you will make 10
X Impact:
Lead initial customer engagements and pilot sales as the first "seller" to validate the go-to-market model before scaling. Architect repeatable market-entry playbooks and develop all foundational commercial assets, pitch decks, and sales scripts from scratch. Select the right early adopters to accelerate time-to-market and establish feedback loops that allow R D to pivot based on real-world usage. Conduct competitive analysis to develop value-based pricing structures and P&L strategies that maximize market share. Serve as the connective tissue between R D, Marketing and Strategy, translating technical capabilities into compelling commercial benefits. Identify market hurdles early to develop contingency plans while seeking long-term growth through new use cases and geographical expansion.
What you should have:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Law; an MBA or JD is highly preferred. 12+ years of experience in GTM strategy, Product Marketing, or Brand Management, with a portfolio of successful concept-to-scale launches. Proven experience executing initial sales cycles, including lead generation and closing pilots, within a zero-to-one environment. Deep LegalTech expertise and a sophisticated understanding of the "AI Trust Gap," specifically regarding data security and ethical implications. Strong proficiency in P&L management, pricing optimization, and financial forecasting. Ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority and distill complex technical specs into narratives for investors and executives. Experience building processes from scratch in fast-paced scale-ups rather than following established corporate playbooks. It'd be great if you had these: Experience as a founder or founding employee who has built a commercial engine from the ground up. A track record of championing new features or products based on identified market gaps. Experience with non-traditional, low-cost marketing and sales experiments to test product-market fit. The ability to move fluently between white boarding with engineers and closing deals with CEOs. Experience navigating a major product crisis or failure and successfully leading the pivot. A public profile as a speaker or writer within the LegalTech community. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $211,000 - $297,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
