Job Description As a Product Development Intern at Kopari Beauty, you will gain hands-on exposure to the world of beauty product development, from tracking industry trends to supporting formula and packaging teams with day-to-day tasks. This is a for-credit, academic internship designed to complement your coursework with real-world experience in a fast-paced DTC beauty brand. You'll be part of a collaborative team environment where you'll observe, learn, and contribute in a meaningful way. Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Learning Objectives Formula / Product Development- Assist with tracking competitive launches across Ulta, Sephora, TikTok Shop, and Amazon
- Help compile weekly trend reports covering top launches, formula and packaging trends, hero ingredients, and claims language
- Support review mining by helping categorize consumer feedback across Kopari's product portfolio
- Assist with prepping, labeling, and distributing internal product testing samples
- Help compile survey responses, enter results, and assist in summarizing findings
- Assist with coordinating internal sample distribution across teams
- Help organize and maintain the PD sample closet (in-office) Packaging Development
- Assist with incoming packaging sample receipt and internal handoff to teams
- Support general administrative tasks for the Packaging team as needed
- Help evaluate and organize first-production finished goods samples What You'll Learn

- Fundamentals of formula and packaging development
- How to track and interpret beauty industry trends and consumer feedback
- Cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, Retail, DTC, and Operations Required Skills
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and eligible to receive academic credit,this is a for-credit position only
- Pursuing a degree in Product Development, Cosmetic Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Based in or able to commute to San Diego, CA
- Genuine interest in the beauty and personal care industry
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
