Product Manager, Consultant Blue Shield of CA United States, California, San Diego Jun 17, 2026 Your Role The Product Manager, Consultant role reports to the Manager, Product Management and is responsible for designing and building seamless critical applications that enable BSC to better serve clinicians and patients. From polished user experiences to high-performance back-end systems, you'll deliver technology that improves care delivery and supports better health outcomes. Your Knowledge and Experience Minimum 6 years of experience in Product Management, Management Consulting, or Entrepreneurship required
BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics, Public Health, or Information Technology, or equivalent experience required
Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Angular or similar) and JavaScript/TypeScript required
Experience building backend services and APIs using .NET, Java, Node.js, Python, or similar technologies required
Strong knowledge of Relational and Non-relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle, Cosmos) required
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) required
Experience using AI-assisted coding tools in professional software development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar) required
Experience developing cloud-native applications (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable) preferred
Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) preferred
Familiarity using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Bicep, ARM, Terraform) to provision and manage cloud resources preferred
Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare) preferred Hybrid This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week. Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.
