Job Description
Principal Product Manager Davita Inc. paid time off, 401(k) United States, Colorado, Denver May 21, 2026 Posting Date 05/20/2026 2000 16th St, Denver, Colorado, 80202-5117, United States of America Role summary You will lead product strategy and execution for DaVita's People Services Systems-partnering closely with People Services to identify the right problems to solve, run discovery and research, and deliver simple, high-impact improvements that make work easier for teammates and leaders. This role is equal parts product discovery leader, strategic partner, and outcomes owner, operating with a human-centered mindset and strong cross-functional leadership. What you'll do (core responsibilities) Own the product direction and outcomes Set a clear product vision and strategy for People Services Systems, aligned to business goals and measurable outcomes (OKRs). Build and maintain a roadmap that connects People Services goals to prioritized product work (what we will do-and what we won't do). Define success metrics, create a measurement plan, and use data + feedback to adjust priorities over time. Lead discovery the "right way" (research, design, problem framing) Partner with Research/Design and People Services to deeply understand user needs, pain points, and root causes (not just feature requests). Facilitate structured working sessions and design workshops that produce clear decisions, tradeoffs, and action plans. Be an objective strategic partner to People Services Build strong, trusted relationships across People Services (and adjacent partners like IT/Engineering, Finance, Compliance, and Change/Comms). Bring an "outside-in" perspective-industry best practices, product thinking, and user empathy-to help leaders solve the biggest problems, not the loudest ones.
Create clarity in ambiguous spaces:
align stakeholders on the "why," define what good looks like, and drive decisions forward. Drive delivery through cross-functional leadership Partner with engineering/IT/outside supplies and delivery leaders to translate validated problems into product requirements, sequencing, and delivery plans. Own backlog prioritization and tradeoffs; ensure teams stay focused on outcomes, not output volume.Lead launch readiness:
enablement, training/job aids, feedback loops, and post-launch measurement. Governance, investment, and operational rigor Manage product operating rhythms: quarterly planning, roadmap reviews, progress reporting, and stakeholder updates. Own investment/value conversations for your product area (e.g., benefit sizing, tradeoffs, sequencing). What success looks like (simple, measurable) People Services leaders consistently say: "This team helps us solve the right problems and gets to outcomes faster." HR system improvements reduce friction in critical workflows and improve teammate experience (measured through agreed metrics/OKRs). Roadmap is focused, prioritized, and transparent-teams can explain what they're doing and why, in plain language. What you'll bring (qualifications) Required 8+ years in product management (or closely related product leadership), including substantial experience leading discovery and shipping meaningful product outcomes. Strong track record of partnering with business leaders and technical teams to deliver measurable outcomes. Demonstrated strength in problem framing, prioritization, stakeholder management, and communication. Experience facilitating working sessions/design workshops with clear outputs and decisions. Preferred Experience with enterprise HR platforms and ecosystems (DaVita context includes platforms like Workday and People Services workflows). Experience in complex, regulated environments where privacy, risk, and controls matter. What We'll Provide:
