Associate Product Manager Freemont Yardley Search Hamden, CT Job Details $80,000 a year 10 hours ago Qualifications Product marketing Social media platforms Bachelor's degree Research data analysis CRM system proficiency Productivity software Full Job Description Position Summary Support the execution of the organization's product strategy by partnering with product managers, cross-functional teams, and external vendors to manage the full lifecycle of assigned product portfolios. This role focuses on driving growth, optimizing performance, and delivering market-aligned solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including Gantt charts and timelines, to track progress, milestones, and deliverables. Lead cross-functional teams through all phases of the product development lifecycle, from concept through commercialization. Conduct ongoing market, customer, and competitive analysis to inform product strategy, including pricing, positioning, and value propositions. Gather and analyze industry trends, sales data, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities. Translate market feedback into actionable product improvements and strategic decisions. Manage product portfolios to ensure alignment with business objectives and evolving market demands. Own product performance, including revenue growth, market share, and P&L accountability. Develop and execute a 3-year product line strategy and roadmap. Drive new product development and line extensions using structured stage-gate processes. Lead product launches and commercialization efforts to ensure successful market entry. Evaluate and optimize product portfolio through rationalization initiatives. Partner with supply chain, sales, and operations to monitor inventory performance and implement reduction strategies. Apply forecasting tools and inventory management techniques to improve efficiency. Define, prioritize, and manage the product roadmap based on business impact and feasibility. Lead research initiatives to strengthen market positioning and uncover new opportunities. Required Qualifications Education & Experience 1-3+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in building materials, construction, or industrial products Strong understanding of product development processes, including stage-gate methodology Knowledge of construction materials and techniques (preferred) Experience with market research methods and data analysis Familiarity with digital and social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) Solid understanding of cross-functional business operations (Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Procurement) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Working knowledge of ERP and CRM systems (Salesforce, Oracle EnterpriseOne, CRM OnDemand preferred) Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; MBA preferred Bilingual capabilities are a plus Ability to travel up to 30% (domestic and international) Valid passport or ability to obtain one
