Job Description

You help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks, and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers and communities. Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is all about thinking outside the box, challenging the status quo and striving to be best-in-class. As an Associate in Credit Risk Management team, you will support Chase Card Services by delivering analytics and insights that inform credit risk decisions for co-brand portfolio conversion initiatives and new product features. You partner across Risk, Product, Marketing, and Technology to balance portfolio performance with business objectives and to strengthen decision rules and monitoring. You help us identify risks and opportunities, translate analysis into clear recommendations, and support strong risk management practices.
Job responsibilities:
Analyze and challenge the performance of key business initiatives, independently generating solutions and recommended actions Lead and support initiatives end-to-end by defining problem statements, identifying risks and opportunities, securing stakeholder alignment, and driving delivery Identify and assess performance trends using statistical, data mining, and quantitative methods Conduct root cause analysis and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leaders and stakeholders Prepare and present risk monitoring reports and insights to senior management and stakeholders Support development and maintenance of the risk management framework, helping ensure alignment to regulatory expectations Monitor internal and external behavioral data and industry trends to continuously improve risk management processes Partner with cross-functional teams to support portfolio risk decision rules and ongoing enhancements Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or Operations Research Minimum 1 year of experience in risk management or financial services Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills with ability to structure and execute analyses logically Ability to translate complex analysis into practical solutions and concise, executive-ready presentations Experience using at least one analytics tool such as SAS, SQL, Python, or Tableau, with coding experience in at least one Strong attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset, with ability to make independent decisions To be eligible for this role, you must be authorized to work in the United States.
