Product Development Manager - Collagen

Salary:

C8BProDevMan551 Gpac is seeking a Product Development Manager for a client that is an innovative and fast-growing leader in collagen-based pet products . In this role, you will lead the end-to-end development of new products , from concept through commercialization, with a strong focus on collagen-based formulations, functional ingredients, and pet health applications . You'll partner closely with R&D, operations, quality, and marketing teams to ensure successful and timely product launches. This is a high-visibility role that directly influences product innovation in a rapidly expanding segment of the pet industry.

Background & Experience:

3-7 years of experience in product development, R&D, or formulation within pet food, food & beverage, or CPG Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Chemistry, or related field (Master's preferred) Direct experience working with collagen, gelatin, or protein-based systems strongly preferred Hands-on experience with ingredient functionality, raw material handling, and processing techniques Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as extrusion, drying, molding, or thermal processing Experience scaling products from bench to pilot to commercial production Strong understanding of GMPs, SOPs, and regulatory/compliance standards Ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders Detail-oriented with strong documentation and project management skills Comfortable presenting, collaborating across teams, and occasional travel
