Job Description
Experteer Overview As a Product Management Manager at USAA, you shape product strategy for financial services used by the military community. You'll analyze profitability, competitiveness, and sales performance to guide lifecycle decisions and launches, collaborating with cross-functional teams. You'll translate market and member insights into actionable product roadmaps, balancing risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements. This role offers the chance to impact HELOC-related products and partner ecosystems while working in a mission-driven, flexible environment.
Compensation / Benefits
- Gather analytics, competitive intelligence, and member data to inform product strategy
- Contribute to development of product strategy recommendations
- Develop launch plans for new products or sales strategies; decide to buy/build/partner
- Serve as product SME on features and collaborate with business partners
- Educate phones/digital teams on products using Agile methodologies to deliver solutions
- Identify and evaluate potential alliance providers
- Support creation and distribution of product communications
- Research external market trends, financials, and member data for products
- Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk partners to ensure regulatory compliant offerings
- Interpret performance results to forecast product and sales performance
- Manage risk identification, measurement, and controls per policies Tasks
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related discipline; or 4 years related experience
- 6 years of relevant industry experience in Actuary, Underwriting, Marketing or Sales/Service or Finance/Accounting Operations or Financial Services
- 2 years of product management or strategic management experience
- 1 year of Data Visualization experience (Tableau)
- Advanced experience in creating product briefings
- Experience in market research to shape product roadmap and iterative decisions
- Knowledge of product-related regulations and risk/compliance requirements Key requirements
