Job Overview:
At Accushield, the Product Manager is the Strategic Architect and Master Builder of our product ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you occupy a pivotal role connecting executive vision with engineering execution. While our "North Star" is set by our founders and senior leadership, you are responsible for the vital work of translating that high-level vision into a cohesive, executable product strategy—and the detailed requirements that power it. You are not just a high-level thinker; you are a practitioner. You synthesize feedback from leadership, market data, and customer insights to define the "What" and the "Why," and you have the technical discipline to document the "How." You provide the strategic framework and the foundational requirements that empower our Product Owners to drive tactical excellence at the sprint level.
Key Focus Areas:
Strategic Translation & Documentation:
Partner with the Director of PM to take high-level objectives and translate them into a prioritized roadmap and comprehensive functional requirements.
Requirement Architecture:
Own the "Source of Truth" for complex product initiatives, ensuring that business logic is sound and documented before it reaches the development phase.
Market & User Synthesis:
Conduct research to validate the direction set by leadership and identify opportunities for innovation.
Cross-Functional Orchestration:
Act as the central hub for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure alignment on upcoming initiatives.
Tactical Mentorship:
Provide the "high-level scannability" for the product, guiding the Product Owner in breaking down complex epics into actionable user stories.
Responsibilities:
Roadmap & Requirement Ownership:
Maintain a strategic roadmap and author high-level functional requirements for major initiatives, ensuring technical feasibility and commercial viability.
End-to-End Scoping:
Define "The What" by creating initial value propositions, feature themes, and detailed logic flows to ensure the Product Owner and Dev team have a clear path forward.
Business Case Development:
Perform trade-off analysis to ensure the team focuses on initiatives with the highest ROI and mission alignment.
Strategic Discovery:
Lead the "Discovery" phase—identifying MVP requirements, writing initial specs, and defining success metrics for new ventures.
Product Evangelism:
Communicate the "Why" behind the product direction to the entire company, ensuring everyone understands the vision and the mechanics of how we get there.
Refinement Support:
Step into the "weeds" of the backlog when necessary to assist the PO in refining complex technical stories or edge cases.
Experience & Qualifications:
Education:
4-year degree in a relevant field required.
Experience:
3+ years of modern product management experience. A proven track record of writing high-quality PRDs (Product Requirement Documents) or functional specs is essential.
Collaborative Maturity:
Proven ability to work within a structured product org, reporting to a Director while guiding a Product Owner/Dev team.
Agile Leadership:
Deep experience with Agile/Scrum and a sophisticated understanding of how to manage the lifecycle of an initiative from concept to launch. Interested in applying? Accushield is more than a tech company; we are a partner in creating safer, more connected senior living communities. We offer a collaborative environment where you can grow your career while doing work that truly matters. If this mission resonates with you, please apply to join our team.
