This team member will be the Technical Lead for all customization projects, and they will provide technical expertise and mentorship for the team that supports this rapidly growing product line. A typical day as a Lead Product Engineer may include: Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of specific product line(s), product applications, competition, and markets. Serve as primary technical contact to sales, marketing, operations, and others as required for in-service product support. Work with Application Engineers, Product Managers, other Product Engineers, and Manufacturing personnel to develop customized recloser controls solutions to meet customer needs. Validate product requirements, functionality, and features. Approve new custom product developments and associated documentation Serve as interface between Manufacturing and R D groups for product development. Participate in industry technical meetings and conferences. Prepare and present technical product presentations. Maintain an end user system operational understanding of how specific technology families are used and have a clear understanding of the functional priority. Assist with developing and creating concept documents or drawings associated with new product ideas to be developed. Provide product line training to Field Application Engineers. Drive process improvement projects as assigned.
