Job Description Summary Responsible for executing the strategy of Banking products as outlined by the Lead Product Manager and Product Leadership. Drives Product Management lifecycle activities in partnership with senior product leaders, including defining target client segments, evaluating industry trends, supporting product launches, and performing post-launch assessments. Maintains product materials, inventory, and key metrics while supporting new product introductions through risk analysis. Provides sales support through client pitches and RFP responses. Major Duties & Responsibilities Support discovery and innovation by developing client personas and evaluating competitors Assist in product planning by deriving forecasts, defining requirements, and establishing KPIs Manage and prioritize product backlog; translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria Partner cross-functionally with technology, design, data, and business teams to deliver features Support new product introduction, including risk analysis, pilots, and launch readiness Track customer satisfaction, adoption metrics, and KPIs; conduct post-launch reviews Provide sales support through client/prospect pitches and RFP responses Monitor capital and expense alignment across banking products and regions Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to partners and stakeholders Contribute to both day-to-day execution and strategic direction of banking product initiatives Necessary Knowledge & Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to build clear, logical presentations Working knowledge of banking products (e.g., deposits, lending, payments) Understanding of client needs and their impact on product strategy and roadmap Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and collaborate across teams Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage priorities and track performance Familiarity with product lifecycle, agile delivery, and governance frameworks Necessary Experience & Education Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience required Experience in product management, banking, or financial services preferred Experience working with cross-functional and agile teams Program or project management experience is a plus
Salary Range:
$88,900 - 151,100 USD Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits.
