Job Description

at State Adjusting Services in Lincolnshire, Illinois, United States Job Description Responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of proprietary software solutions to improve insurance claims processing and fraud prevention. Analyze complex claims workflows from product life cycle management to insurance industry compliancy, translate business and regulatory requirements into system specifications, and coordinate with software engineers, compliance staff, and adjusters to ensure the system supports business objectives and meets industry standards.
Specific duties include:
define and manage the product roadmap for proprietary claims automation and fraud-prevention software, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance obligations; analyze insurance claims workflows and applicable regulatory requirements to design system features that improve efficiency, accuracy, and fraud detection; gather and document business, compliance, and user requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications for development teams; collaborate with software engineers to design and implement scalable and compliant product modules; oversee Agile/Scrum product development cycles, including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and stakeholder review sessions; collect, analyze, and interpret product performance metrics and claims data to drive continuous product enhancements; lead product testing and quality assurance processes to ensure secure handling of claims data and compliance with insurance industry standards; coordinate collaboration among IT staff, compliance professionals, and insurance adjusters to ensure system usability and accuracy; monitor industry and regulatory developments to adapt system features and maintain ongoing compliance; and prepare technical documentation, compliance reports, and executive presentations for leadership and external stakeholders.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
: Master's degree or foreign equivalence in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a closely related field and Two (2) years of Progressive experience in product management, software development, business analysis, or insurance technology systems.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Must have skills/expertise with the following: Software development lifecycle, object-oriented programming, and systems design. Agile frameworks and collaborative project delivery approaches. Workflow analysis and optimization for systemic and regulatory processes. Quantitative analysis, performance tracking, and reporting for integrated software projects. Risk management frameworks and fraud prevention methods relevant to claims applications. Structured system and process design principles applied to software product design and UX/UI. Interpretation of regulatory frameworks, compliance standards, and statutory systems. Leadership, planning, and multi-disciplinary coordination. Technical writing, compliance documentation, and reporting.
