Job Description

Job Description The Sr. Director, Product Development - Workforce Health Solutions (WHS) establishes the vision and profitable product growth strategy for the Workforce Health Solutions business. This role is responsible for developing innovative products and solutions that enhance employee safety and wellbeing, from hire to retire, including products focused on substance / drug testing and population health solutions. This role leads new solution development and life cycle management through a team of Commercial and Technical Product Managers, in partnership with the technology team. Advocates and prioritizes business cases to the Workforce Health Solutions and Diagnostics Services Leadership Teams to execute a product roadmap, with strategies and tactics to lead in the employer market. The position reports to the VP-GM of Workforce Health Solutions and will be based in Quest's Lenexa, KS, location.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned to employer needs, markets trends and emerging technologies in the drug screening and population health employer markets. Develop Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Product Development Roadmap in concert with the business leadership. Develop and drive strategic product direction for employer Sales Team. Implement innovative offerings to enhance employee health while impacting employers' overall population health. Conduct on-going market analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities to innovate in the employer market. Stay current on competitor product offerings to help position Quest WHS offerings. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Sales, marketing, client engagement and IT to inform product development roadmap. Ensure strong alignment between products/solutions delivered and customer experience journey. Execute effective life-cycle management across the segment through robust cross-functional team management. Ensure products and supporting platforms/technology are developed on-time and withing budget. Generate customer insights to define customer/market segment requirements to set product/portfolio solution, priority setting, risk management. Define requirements for partnerships, alliances, ventures and evaluate/manage the relationships. Develop metrics in support of the WHS Products/Solutions that can beleveraged by Sales, Marketing and Health Plans that demonstrate efficacy and ROI. Achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets in AOP. Partner with finance team to achieve strong financial performance within the portfolio. 25-35% travel is required
Qualifications:
Required WorkExperience:
10+ years product management / platform development 10+ years technical development in healthcare field Understanding of technical platform development framework(s) Customer journey maps Experience successfully delivering new products to market following an Idea to Market framework. Agile Product Development Demonstrated ability to translate market, customer insights into products.
