Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Retail Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer need requirements, defining product vision, and working closely with quality assurance, sales, production, purchasing, packaging suppliers, and line leaders to execute excellent quality retail products delivered in complete order quantities on time. Product Manager is responsible for guiding a product from conception to launch, aligning business goals with customer needs, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver successful products that meets market demands and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Define the product strategy roadmap
  • Work with external and internal stakeholders to drive product quality, availability, development, and profitability
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition, customers, and market
  • Work with Retail Sales Manager to develop an effective forecasting, sales development, and implementation model for targeted retail sales opportunities
  • Operate the retail product segment against budget needs and manage the line of business with P/L responsibility for annual performance improvement
  • Develop, train, and retain sufficient talent and resources to effectively produce the highest quality retail products that are available in the market
  • To develop strategic plans for the retail products and align resources to support your strategic designs with tactical support, while leveraging Taylor Farms overall scale
Requirements:
  • Flexible work schedule to include occasional weekend and night production as company needs dictate
  • Ability to manage the line of business with P&L responsibility towards product/company profitable operations
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to handle a diverse degree of employee situations professionally
  • Knowledge and capabilities with all software system requirements including Office/D365/Power BI
  • Pursue company affiliated learning opportunities including process management, project management, as well as all applicable local/state/federal requirements regarding food safe production and quality needs
  • Responsible for assisting in the continuous improvement of employee retention through training, educating, and assessment of employee activity and competence
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or related fields
  • 2-5 years of experience in product management or related roles with proven success in leading product initiatives- preferred retail food product development
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
