What You'll Do In This Role:
We are seeking an intern to join the Electrification Product Line, supporting data ‑ driven product, technology, and market analysis that informs Visteon ' s long ‑ range electrification strategy. In this role, you will:- Build, consolidate, and refine a centralized, analytics‑ready cBOM (commodity Bill of Materials) data model , transforming fragmented inputs into a structured and scalable dataset for the Electrification organization.
- Enable automated, real‑time updates to the cBOM by integrating data streams from Purchasing, Engineering, and Product teams, reducing manual effort and improving data quality.
- D evelop a comprehensive, data‑driven competitive and market intelligence landscape using sources such as OHS, Global S&P, MarkLines, and supplier databases.
- A nalyze trends in competitor technologies, cost structures, supply‑base strategies, and emerging electrification domains such as battery systems, inverters, power electronics, and energy management.
- Create dashboards, visualizations, and analytics summaries that highlight opportunities, risks, and supplier positioning to support internal reviews and strategic decisions.
- O rganize technical, market, and supplier insights into structured datasets that feed long‑range product planning, investment proposals, and business cases.
You:
- Real experience applying Big Data, analytics, and visualization skills to meaningful electrification product and market challenges.
- Exposure to global EV and power electronics datasets, competitive intelligence platforms, and supplier analytics.
- Hands‑on work transforming raw engineering and commercial data into structured, strategic insights.
- Opportunities to inform the electrification roadmap, supplier strategy, cBOM standardization, and key decision processes.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional global teams and contributing to high‑impact deliverables.
- A chance to support the development of next‑generation, cleaner, more efficient electrification technologies.
What You'll Bring:
Education:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Big Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field.Knowledge:
Interest in EV systems, electrification components, product structures (BOMs), market analysis, or automotive technology trends; Understanding of data modeling, dataset structuring, or analytics workflows.- T ools /
Programming:
Familiarity with Python, SQL, or data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy); Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools; Comfort working with Excel and/or automation scripts is a plus.Skills:
Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to work with large structured and unstructured datasets; Ability to identify trends, build insights, and support fact ‑ based decision ‑ making; High attention to data quality, detail, and consistency.Communication:
Excellent documentation and communication skills; ability to clearly summarize complex data findings for technical and non ‑ technical audiences; Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.Where You Will Work :
