Job Description
Summary/Objective The Product Manager is responsible for owning the end-to-end product strategy and New Product Development (NPD) pipeline across High Bar Brands. This role leads the full product lifecycle, from ideation through launch and post-launch performance, while driving portfolio optimization to improve profitability and EBITDA. This position serves as the central leader across engineering, operations, sourcing, sales, and marketing to ensure alignment, accountability, and execution of product initiatives. Responsibilities:
New Product Development Own and lead the NPD pipeline from concept through commercialization and post-launch evaluation Implement and manage a structured stage-gate development process Drive cross-functional accountability to meet timelines, cost targets, and launch objectives Partner with leadership to prioritize product initiatives aligned with company strategy Product Lifecycle Management Manage the full lifecycle of products, including new products, line extensions, and legacy SKUs Evaluate product performance and identify opportunities for growth, optimization, or discontinuation Lead SKU rationalization efforts to improve portfolio efficiency Analyze portfolio decisions based on revenue, margin, and EBITDA impact Pricing & Competitive Strategy Develop and manage pricing strategies aligned with market positioning and profitability goals Monitor competitive landscape and adjust product positioning accordingly Partner with sales and finance to optimize pricing across OEM and aftermarket channels Cross-Functional Leadership Serve as the primary leader coordinating efforts across engineering, operations, sourcing, sales, and marketing Drive alignment and execution across departments without direct authority Ensure all stakeholders are working toward shared product goals and timelines Launch & Performance Accountability Own go-to-market readiness and product launch execution in collaboration with marketing and sales Define success metrics and track post-launch performance Adjust strategies based on performance data and customer feedback Required Skills and Abilities Strong understanding of stage-gate product development processes Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive execution Strong financial acumen, including pricing, margin analysis, and portfolio optimization Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field 7+ years of product management experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments Proven experience managing end-to-end product development pipelines Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
